Description

I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I purchased this title. The little snippets thrown into Nintendo Directs were enough to get me intrigued, so I purchased the limited edition and dove right in! This game is fantastic. You play as Yuma Kokohead, a novice detective who wakes up with amnesia. He is sent to Kanai Ward, along with several other mystery detectives, in an effort to discover the region's ultimate secret. With the help of Shinigami, a death god Yuma apparently formed a pact with prior to the events of the game, he solves mysteries and hones his skills as a detective in an effort to regain his lost memories and discover Kanai Ward's secret. This limited edition came with a small art book, soundtrack, shinigami pushing, and a gorgeous steel book case. Just when you think you have the case solved, a twist comes along to turn it on its head! Master Detective Archives: Rain Code is a game of clue gathering and then venturing into another dimension to face off against those who would try to cover up the truth. Puts me in mind of in episode of NCIS or CSI with a supernatural twist. Walking around a big city to talk to people after discovering a crime scene, and the mystery is off and running! This isn’t an action filled game. It is a slow going mystery game that requires you to think and deduct to figure out who the person who truly committed the crime could be. While fighting against an organization that will do anything to cover up the truth. If you are looking for an action film game it’s not for you. However, if you want a truly satisfying adventure with a fantastic and deep story you cannot go wrong here. Especially with the limited edition. It is by far worth the extra money! I pre-ordered this and it came about a week after the game was released. I'm only halfway through it so far but I can say it's AMAZING. Very interesting if you're a danganronpa fan or are into mysteries. Those of you who like visual novels and aren't very good with open world, don't worry, it's very easy to play. Not gonna spoil anything, it's best played blind. 10/10 worth the price of $60 (I just got the game not the limited edition version) Please get this you won't regret it ... show more

I can't speak Japanese So I bought this game from Amazon USA. I gladly opened the box, but the box was already damaged. This box came to me already opened. There was nothing missing in the box, but this disappointed me. The game itself is very fun. Danganronpa fans will love this game

the game's box wasn't properly secured in. Outer box was okay, but the box inside containing the items was wrecked. And this was supposed to be a Limited Edition. Good thing the actual items inside it were ok, but I'll probably put this behind the shelf because of the box's condition.
