I wanted to keep tabs on my tire pressure but my car is old and doesnt have all the fancy tpms sensors that new vehicles come with. This way if I saw an issue where a tire had an object in it or a slow leak and the pressure was off from the other tires I could address it asap (i do my part to keep tabs on my vehicle weekly and inspect things, etc). I know the reviews talk about how the valve caps can look bulky and out of place, but to be honest its about as small of a package one could get given the battery type used, and while it may not be a set for everyone, I can get past the sensors sticking out a smidge. I put them on the vehicle today and heres what I found. You can take all four valve caps off, make sure your tires are inflated properly to the PSI you want all around (or following manufacturer specs) and then make sure you put each monitor on by the designation printed on the caps (front left, front right, rear left, rear right). Plug the monitoring device into your cigarette lighter or "power point" and hold the " + " down for 5 seconds. This will give you the freedom to set your PSI/BAR reading, Celsius or Fahrenheit, etc. Hold the plus sign again for 5 seconds. You will see all four corners blink in the beginning and with about a few miles of driving the sensors will sync in with the device and all the readings will be solid. It will do it one at a time so you will see one come on, then the second, etc, while the others do blink waiting to sync up. I had no issues with the sensors and obviously after parking the vehicle for some time you may experience them having to re-sync up, but for the most part mine only did this when i parked at a self serve car wash to wash my vehicle and of course the wheels. Sensors didnt short out and as of this writing re learned and went back to reading proper on the display. So soap and water didnt harm them but there are ppl who have said to steer away from drive through car washes because it runs the risk of issues. So experience may vary here. There is a small gripe I do have with the display and that is I wish the display was a bit brighter. I also wish the head swivelled a little more up to make up for the power point lid being above it, or some sort of extendo neck piece to adjust this. Not a deal breaker but the reason why I dont give it 5 stars. I do plan to follow up in the coming months since I am in summer and plan to use these in the harsh and sloppy winter season to test durability. ... show more

I'm pretty sure I'm going to need all 4 tires rebalanced because of vibration. Obviously these will weigh slightly more than a standard valvestem cap causing vibration at higher speeds. Otherwise... so far so good. The display was easy to program and is easy to read ( selectable Bar/PSI and temp C or F ), set high temp warning and low pressure warning etc ). Not sure yet how much drain on car battery but I just unplug it ( my Yukon sits for 5-6 days between uses). ... show more

I had an issue with my tire monitor not working at all. I plugged it in to both of my cars and it didn’t work on. The display wouldn’t even attempt to turn on. I was pretty upset so I messaged the seller. They instantly responded and ran me through some troubleshooting. Unfortunately nothing worked so they gave me a full refund and gave me the option to buy a new one. I don’t think the tire sensor is necessarily bad, I think I just got a broken one due to poor care when it was shipping. Ordering a new one now, hopefully it works. So when I bought this system it said it was for RV's. So I thought it would work on my travel trailer. So I wanted to try it on my truck which is my tow vehicle because we were planning a trip next month. So it worked great on my truck for the last month. So when I tried today to install on my travel trailer, it did not work. I guess the range is too far. My travel trailer is 25 feet long. If I had known this, I would have returned it immediately. Ill start by saying, these works great and as intended. simply plug in the display to 12V and then had to progrem/link all tire sensors to the 12v device. Instructions were relativly simple to do this. The "secuirty" lock nut and provided wrench are a nice touch, but im not sure its really needed. The compact small package is great and the sensors seem very accurate. Now the only areas i have issues with, the display is very very dim. I cannot see it with sunglasses on. If the sun is shinning partially on the display you cannot see it. A slightly brighter screen would be nice or a screen with a dimmer control. The other issues i have is with the size of the tire sensors, they are large, if you are a car enthusiast you may be deterred by the large ugly valve caps you must run. For me, despite being a car guy, the need for TPS data on my older car was more important than the slightly ugly large caps. All in all, i would buy again for other cars in my fleet. 4/5 stars only because of the screen brightness issue ... show more

Bought this for my older classic car because I hate the idea of driving around with low tire pressure in my project car and I don't always check each tire before a drive. I have enough mechanical things to manage and stay on top of, so knowing that my tires are properly inflated is comforting (I seem to get a lot of nails in my car tires, so it is hard to anticipate). It also tells you the temperature of each tire and your battery charge level, though the latter may not be as accurate a gauge directly connected to your battery since this measures the charge level through the cigarette lighter, which is down line of many other electrical circuits being used. Set up wasn't that complicated. Just takes a little patience, but once it is set, it stays good. I don't know how long the batteries will last, but I've been using this for several months and I always refer to it. The tire caps ARE a little big, but I don't notice them anymore. I'd recommend to anyone that misses that creature comfort from a newer car, but it this case, a highly functional creature comfort that could save you from some hassle. ... show more
