This tire spreader tool is solidly built and does what it’s supposed to do, but I’m giving it 4 stars because it didn’t fit our tire changing machine quite right out of the box. That said, we were able to make it work with a little adjustment, and once set up, it performed well. To be fair, the product description clearly states that you should measure your tire machine first to ensure compatibility. That part is on us—we skipped that step. If we had measured beforehand, we would have known what to expect. The tool itself feels sturdy and holds the tire open well, which makes repairs and inspections much easier. Once we got it working, it saved time and effort compared to doing the job without a spreader. Overall, it’s a good product as long as it matches your machine.     • Time and effort saver
This is a tool that I won't use that often but like most tools when you need it you need it. When I have previously done tire repairs trying to work down inside is a pain. And if you want a quality, long lasting repair you need to make sure you clean and prepare the surface completely and that is hard if you either can't see or can't get your hands and tools in there easily. This makes it so easy to pry apart the sidewalls and give you full access to the inside of the tire. It attaches and works great.
