Description

The Portable Tire Changer is a great, easy way to change tires in the shop or at the track. This tire changer will work with all rim sizes 14 inch and bigger; dirt or street tires. One of the nicest features about this tire changer is the bead breaker; it has several different adjustments for different size tires to ensure good leverage to pop the bead. The changer also has an axle stud that securely holds the wheel in place on top of the rubber coated rim stabilizer that prevents scratching the spokes. Another great feature is the gap in the ring and the lower tab below; this is used to pry on the rim lock to make removal simple. With its compact design, it is perfect for the shop, trailer, or even trackside. -Handy rim lock gap to pry on when you get a stubborn rim lock. -Durable steel construction with black powder- coating.

  • Easy bead break
Took a chance because of the price. Works very well for breaking the bead.

  • Good for tires smaller than a 180mm. No Instructions Included.
I used this to change out my front tire on my 2017 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited. The front tire size is 130/80B17 and the rear is 180/65B16. This is supposed to work for up to 16-21in rims. The good: -easy assembly. - This worked perfectly for the front tire because it's slim. I was able to break the bead with no issues. -there is a bar that acts as a "3rd hand" to be able to hold down tire spoons while you break the bead. I also used it to mount the tire. The not so good: The rear tire was a different story. The rear tire was a wider width so it did not work. No matter where on the bar I slid the bead breaker it couldn't line up properly to get enough leverage to be able to break the bead on the rear tire so that also counts out using it to mount the tire. -there rear tire was so large that it kept slipping on the stand. I couldn't even use the butterfly screw to hold it in place. My take: It's a great product to have for DIY tire changes. But you should have a wrench style bead breaker on hand just in case if doesn't fit your wider width tires. It is a ground tool and you will be bending down a lot. Maybe you can put it on a table to save your back. This made breaking the bead on the front tire significantly simple compared to bead breaker wrenches. I'm knocking off a star because it didn't work for my rear tire and especially because there are no instructions on how to assemble. It's just a little illustration of what it looks like but nowhere does it show how to assemble. You'll be able to assemble it easy though if you refer to the illustration as a reference. I definitely recommend this product for tires smaller than a 180. It is definitely useful so pick it up if you can find it for a good price. ... show more

  • Not bad for the price
Big improvement to wrestling a flat tire on the ground. Good deal for the money.

  • Extremely low quality
Not a rocket science to assemble despite the item has no instruction. Very soft metal on bolts that hold the item parts together. I didn't try to tighten them anyhow strong and anyway stripped the thread on 3 out of 16 bolts. Overall disappointingly low quality item.

  • Center bolt to big.
It worked the pop the bead and put the last few inches back on. But it would be nice if the center bolt was 13mm or a little smaller. 16mm is to big for any of my motorcycles. I had to use a ratchet strap to hold the tire down.

  • Recommended.
Better than trying to use just tire levers!

  • Good for the money
I can't compare this to any other one. But this one is sturdy, some of the welded tabs that you run bolts through did not line up perfect. Honestly they was off more than I'd liked. But when you assemble if you leave everything loose and tighten all bolts a little at a time after they are all started it will tighten up and work good. No instructions ... I actually seen a tire chamber just like this at harbor freight, so I went to their website and downloaded the instructions/manual. And it works exactly the same. Probably built in the same factory... It works as it should. My son uses it for him and his buddies dirt bike tires. All in all it's a pretty good value. It does hold the tire well, the bikes we used on is, the rear tires on crf450s. Get a good set of tire spoons. You'll need at least 2 spoons. 3 makes things a little easier in spots. But 2 is a definite. ... show more

  • Tire changer
This product works great and was just what I needed to hold my rims while changing dirt bike tires. The only thing is I wish it came with multiple axle sizes because unfortunately I had to buy my own because the one provided was too big. I definitely recommend the product works great.
