If I could give this play food set 10 stars, I would. I have purchased many wooden play food items/sets over the years and this set is by FAR, the best quality and most realistic set I have found. I purchased all four Tiny Land food group sets (including an additional set of the fruits and vegetables) and will be purchasing additional sets of the meat and dairy (No more eggs, though, and I will explain below). Not only is each piece meticulously detailed and realistic, but many of the pieces are "stained" rather than painted, which offers a richer and softer look than paint, but won't chip or peel. The pieces that are painted are done so with perfection and truly look like items you would find at your local farmer's market rather than play toys (the lemons & avocadoes include produce "stickers" painted on them & the carrots and asparagus have a simulated rubber band w/Velcro to hold each bunch together like in a real store- seriously, how cute is that!!??) Honestly, this set is so impressive that everyone that comes to our house and sees my display of this market food (displayed on the Tiny Land Market Stand) cannot believe how amazing this set is for "play" food and everyone wants to play with it! I hate to knock other brands, but we are now living in a world where the bar has been raised very high for pretty much EVERYTHING. A lot of Melissa & Doug items have too bright of colors for my taste, making their food look "too much" like play food or even kind of gaudy. Le Toy Van & Tender Leaf are more realistic, and tend to be cuter, but IMO not worth the price for what you get- and definitely not as "realistic" as this Tiny Land set. Only because I like doing completely honest reviews, covering every aspect, I will note a couple of things that I would change if I could. But please note that the following issues are NOT complaints (because this set is so beautiful), but rather, are minor issues that might matter to some people. First, the eggs (which came in a bundle of four Tiny Land food sets). If I could do it over, I would purchase the meat, dairy, and fruit & vegetable sets separately and forget the eggs. The eggs themselves are HUGE! They are literally the size of JUMBO size real eggs from the supermarket (maybe even bigger) and are SO big that they do not fit in the carton and the only way to shut the lid is to house the eggs upside down because the bottoms are so large they do not fit right side up. This poses an additional issue of the lid not fitting properly. It is hard to latch and creates a slight "warp" in the opening of the latch and if not VERY careful, will easily tear. I do not expect this to last long once it starts getting played with. I wish I would have returned it, but it is too late now. I was very surprised at this considering the well thought-out design of everything else. While the sticker on top of the egg carton is realistic and adorable, I will be purchasing a different brand of eggs for playing with because this carton is not going to hold up. You cannot expect little toddler hands to be "careful" enough with this in order to keep it intact. That's not fun for anyone. :( And considering that the eggs alone were about $23, it is just not worth it. However, I do want to note that the person who left a 1 star review showing a white painted egg that was chipping and peeling was definitely NOT an egg from this set. Tiny Land's eggs are brown, natural wood, and NOT painted, so it is very unfortunate that that person left a bad review in error. The only other thing is the color of the strawberries. Compared to the other items in the set, they are not as realistic looking because they are a pink/coral color instead of red. I have seen in some of the review photos that some of the berries look pink and some look red. I am not sure if this is due to different cameras or if Tiny Land changed the color, but it I thought it should be noted. We still love them and they are still super cute, but they are not realistic looking because of it and it is the only negative thing that a couple of people pointed out that saw our market stand. I think the only reason was because the other items are SO unbelievably real looking that the strawberries stood out. I actually kind of feel bad about the two negative things I said because this set is so adorable, beautiful and SO worth the money. But again, I just wanted to be as honest as possible because sometimes trivial issues like this matter to some people. I did not include photos because I felt it wasn't necessary. I looked through all of the photos that others posted and I couldn't post any that would be any better, so know that the photos on here ARE true to life. You will not be disappointed with this set, so go ahead and go for it! You won't regret it! :)

This Tiny Land Wooden Egg Toy Set is absolutely fantastic! My son loves to "cook" right next to me when I'm making eggs in the morning, and these realistic eggs make all the difference for his pretend play. The quality is amazing – everything feels really sturdy and well-made, which is exactly what you want for toddler toys. He loves "cracking" the eggs with the velcro feature, and the fried egg is such a cute addition. It’s perfect for sparking their imagination, and it fits right in with Montessori-style learning. We’ve been using this wooden veggie set for a while now, and it has become one of my daughter’s favorite pretend-play toys. The pieces are beautifully made, smooth, and very realistic — especially the lemon, avocado, and carrots. Everything feels sturdy and safe for small hands. I love how the set encourages cooking play, sorting, and Montessori-style independence. The little fabric pea pouch is such a cute detail! Great quality and a lovely addition to any play kitchen. We also have the wooden egg set from Tiny Land, and it’s just as well-made — sturdy, smooth, and realistic. My daughter loves playing with both sets together.

Absolutely beautiful! The paint is gorgeous and the quality is so nice. I love the little attention to detail. Wood is very solid. My 15 month old was obsessed from the minute I opened them. I love the little bag the peas come in and that the avocado fits together. My daughter played with them for over an hour after I opened them, very fun!

Tiny Land is such a great quality when it comes to their products. My kids LOVE how this set of eggs offers so many different features. I think the one with the egg that comes out is their favorite.
