This book has helped my fiance and I so much! We live in a one bedroom apartment and we have way too much stuff, but this book has given us storage ideas and many other useful tips! We are now looking for a smaller table and mirrors thanks to this book. Even if you don't decide to down-size to the degree that some do with the Tiny House movement you can still benefit from the lessons in this guide. I particularly liked the chapter on making each item have a purpose. Most of us live with a lot of clutter and it's always good to re-evaluate what we have in our homes on a regular basis. I was interested in this book because I often wonder what it would be like to downsize my home to something more smaller and what I imagine would be more manageable and this book provided some insight into this way of living. ... show more

I love large houses, I love space, so the concept of a tiny house seemed very unrealistic to me. Like I couldn't do it, But then my husband lost a job and we have to move to a smaller house and so I got this book to figure it out. I am so glad I did! This "book" is actually a compilation of many very minimal booklets on a huge variety of topics. The portion related to the title and cover is about 20 pages, although it is deceptively numbered to look like at least 10 times that much content. The tiny-living "tips" don't sound as if they were written by someone who has any knowledge or experience of small-house living (A sectional is the best furniture choice?) The rest of the book is composed of many 15-20 pp. booklets on unrelated topics (chakras, for example).
