I am very pleased with the gold pen for repairing and retouching old gilt on wood. It’s what I would call “0ld gold”, not bright gold, and not flat gold. I have attached 2 pictures where I have started to retouch an old panel. The photo that is close up is “ before” retouching, the other is after. ( I have marked the area that I worked on) As you can see, the change is subtle, but effective. It does not scream “ new”, and blends well with the existing gilt. I had done some work with a brush, but it was more difficult to get consistent width line on the edge , and consistent amount of paint. And I also like it that I don’t have to clean a brush. The paint dries fairly quickly, which I like as I don’t have to wait long at all to wipe some of it lightly, for that “ old” look. It is possible that the pen in the pen will dry or separate sooner than paint tightly sealed in a bottle or tube. However when you shake the pen before using, you can hear a mixing ball, and that is a good sign. I will update the review if I find that the pen dries up quickly. Note: I have not used the silver one yet so I can’t comment on the color.

I got these oil-based permanent paint pens to use for arts projects, but decided to test them out on a variety of surfaces to see if they live up to their promise of permanently marking almost anything. They do! I tried the marker on soft plastic, hard plastic, glass, metal, stone, a glossy shell, two types of wood, and fabric--and with only one exception, it worked really well! The paint dries pretty quickly, and once dry it didn't smudge, no matter how much I rubbed it with my finger. The only material it didn't work on well was a very porous, nubby fabric. Okay by me, because I didn't plan to use the pens on that kind of fabric anyway. Now that I've tested them out I am thinking up all kinds of other ways to use them, for example, marking glass jars of home-made food gifts. If you are looking for a versatile paint pen to use on a variety of surfaces, these will serve your needs.

This was my first try using these -- drawing this small box freehand. Pleased to see helpful instructions with diagrams -- I followed the instructions and the gold pen worked exactly as I wanted. I really like the way the caps click tightly closed, and appreciated the low/no odor. You can hear the liquid inside the pens as you shake them. I stored them upright a couple of hours, and then tried again, and it worked well. I'm told by other crafters that if you recap them properly, and store them right, these should hold up for repeated reuse. I have been wanting such pens to use on handmade cards and stationery. Pleased.

This review is for TIMJYUT Black & White Paint Pens,2 Count Permanent Paint Pens, Medium Tip Oil Based Paint Markers Pens (black white). These paint markers come as a two pack, each shrink wrapped in plastic and inside of an outer printed box. This pack of black and white is useful for touching up or marking/labeling various items around the house. They are typical paint pens with felt nib that you need to shake then press down the tip to get the paint flowing. They have an average drying time for oil based pens. The coverage could be better; depending on what you are painting/touching up, it may take multiple coats, allowing to dry in between coats.

These paint pens function well. They have a very dry tip, so dry that when preparing for first use you may think that they are expired. But they aren't, and they will work, you just need to follow the directions. The paint itself stays well, and writes on surfaces pretty easily. Dries very fast. There is a VERY strong chemical smell when using it and that smell is VERY persistent. Be sure to use in a well ventilated area. -1 star because the smell of chemicals is so intense Otherwise good product.

These work remarkably well, and can create nice clean lines but they also work well for coloring in solid areas - I wouldn't use them for anything large, but for a small area of a few square inches, I was pleasantly surprised that I could get a single solid color, with no lines to indicate it was colored in with a pen. I was a little worried about whether they would smell, as I find paint markers are often fairly stinky, but these have a very light odor that didn't bother me at all.

It seems that I often find that I have to do touch up paint projects around the house. When doing so, I have to open the can or jar of paint and use a brush. Then, I have to clean the brush. These paint pens make things so easy and quick. After priming the tip, the paint pen is super easy to use. You do need to be sure to shake the pen prior to use so that the paint goes on evenly. I find the tip is small enough that I can pinpoint where I want the paint. I used this on plastic and found that it covered very well. The paint dries quickly and leaves a little bit of a shine. I did not find it glossy, nor flat looking.

The pictures starting with the third is the first coat, the fourth is a second coat and the last picture is a comparison of the left one painted with white craftsmart acrylic paint and the right is with this pen. The pen does not coat very well and takes multiple coats and leaves a liquid looking finish. My opinion is that the white is not ideal for wood but definitely could be used on other products but this is not a good value in my opinion so these are not for me.
