Love the color, size, and comfort! I wanted a watch that is simple, reliable, has military time, and can change out the band easily. I was shopping for ribbon watch faces, then I could slip in a watch band of choice. But the other watch faces had bad reviews; the watches would quit after a while. I am very pleased with this watch. I like that I can change the watch band easily for a different look though I love the blue color already. Even the second hand is the same shade of blue as the watch band. The band slips in thru the solid bar to the back of the watch face and out the other solid bar. I sew and would evenually make different watch bands for variety. Timex has always been a good, reliable brand of watches for me which is why I purchased this watch. The numbers are easy to see, it is not a small dainty watch face; it is midsize like it describes in the ad. I love that it lights up at night when I press the knob to see the time. I highly recommend this watch! 6/29/2013 I love how easy it is to read and the band is so pretty. It keeps good time and love that it has military time. I've changed the watch band once in a while and have also bought the ribbon and buckle at the local fabric store to make one. 1-9-2016 The watch still runs and looks great! (I had answered in comments, but wanted visible here, too), The watch band probably will give out first, as I'm seeing that on one of the most often used holes.     • Great Watch, Great Value
I recently bought this watch on a whim, to replace my Timex kids’ watch. The watch I owned was cute, but the band finally gave out. Not to mention that a kids’ watch isn’t a real professional look to rock at work. That being said, it’s a Timex and the watch itself still works perfectly after 6 years of heavy use. I also have really sensitive skin, so any metal touching my wrist for an extended period makes my skin freak out. Must say, this Weekender watch is great. I purchased the black with multicolored numbers on it. It’s got a very classic form, but just enough subtle color on the numbers to show that you have a fun side without looking like a dork. Numbers & face are large enough so that us old fogeys don’t have to put on our glasses to tell the time, but be warned that the numbers are a little more difficult to see on a black background. Fortunately, the hands are a bright metallic and if you’ve learned how to tell time, it’s easy enough to figure out! I don’t find the second hand ticking noisy at all. The indiglo feature is nice, and not so bright that you’ll get dirty looks from people in the theater when you’re checking the time. The band has a ton of holes for the buckle– so it fits even my tiny wrist with room to spare. I like that it has two metal strap holders so the excess doesn’t flop around. Best part is that I can find replacement bands, because if this Timex is like my previous ones, this watch itself will last for years. Please note that the watch is water RESISTANT, not waterproof. That means it can get splooshed occasionally with no problem, but I wouldn’t wash dishes, take a shower or go swimming with it. I’ve tried a bazillion watches over the years, and Timex is still my go-to for everyday wear. It is super durable, and if it every craps out (I’ve never had that happen...), I’m not out an exorbitant amount of money.     • Works Well, Band Stains Easily
I bought this watch for myself and have been using it off and on for about a year and a half now. I generally don't like to wear a watch because, despite the copious amounts of sunblock I use, I've already got a rather conspicuous lower arm tan thing in comparison to the rest of my pasty self going on and a watch only makes matters worse. However when I'm doing public outings, either exercise wise or therapy activities for our special needs son, it is often not possible for me to be holding a phone in my hands, so I do need a watch for those occasions. So, I use it on average 2 days a week, sometimes more sometimes less depending on the week and what is happening. So, the positives about this are that nothing has broken on it, it's working as it should. The strap has not frayed, there have been no problems with the buckle components breaking, and the silver metal part of the watch face seems reasonably scratch and tarnish resistant. The watch face looks pretty good. You should be aware that the strap itself stains easy as can be. It picks up any tiny bit of dirt (I got the pinkish/coral one) and it doesn't really wash out well. I didn't want to use a scrub brush on it because I felt that would abrade the band material and lead to fraying and breaking. A washcloth helps, but still this thing looks pretty nasty band wise at this point. I am rather inured to public opinion due the often times interesting things our little man does in public, so I just keep right on wearing it, but if that's something that would be a concern for you, you may end up feeling a need to replace the band more often then you'd want to so that it's appearance matches your comfort level for being presentable, and that I why I removed the star. Otherwise, it's a solid watch that has been working well, has good durability component wise, and is doing what it's supposed to. ... show more
