I like to know what time it is if I wake up in the middle of the night. I have a smartwatch and a conventional wrist watch with a metal bracelet. I wear that one at night but it's uncomfortable sometimes and restrict my movements. My smartwatch has a very comfortable nylon bracelet, but I don't wear it at night since it has to charge more or less daily. So I was looking for a conventional watch with a similarly comfy wrist band to wear instead of my other watch with the metal band. This fits the bill perfectly. It's easy to read at night as the hands glow in the dark, plus there's the Indiglo feature in case the hands' photoluminescence isn't enough. The bracelet is very comfortable to wear 24/7 and the velcro closure feels very secure. As a whole, the watch feels nice and sturdy and I'm quite happy with the purchase for the $40 price! I haven't tested the water resistance but trust that it works according to spec. Its ticking is somewhat loud but it doesn't bother me. ... show more

This is a simple, analog, old school style of watch but, hey, I love it! The dial is easy to read and, dare I say (?), quite stylish in an outdoorsy way. The band I chose was velcro. I was out of town and forgot my "good" watch. Bought this Timex to hold me over and I love it. The band is comfortable, it is water resistant (not water proof), it is easy to read and it just looks good. I guess I could have spent another 500 to 1500 on a fancy watch but I really prefer this one.

I like this watch a lot! It's easy to read, looks good, and the built in light is a great feature. The only complaint I have with it is, it's very loud. If you have it anywhere in your room at night, you will be able to hear it. I've had to place it in a drawer at night so I can't hear it anymore. Also, I've occasionally been able to hear it out in public, which I don't think is normal for watches. ... show more

I have had Timex Expedition watches for the last 15 years. I really liked the bronze colored one I had last, but the indiglo stopped working after about six years. I got this model because it has tabs on either side of the adjustment knob. These are important to help prevent pressing the knob by accident at night and wearing down the battery with indiglo on continuously. ... show more
