  • Sharp looks, great features and insane value
Color: Brown/Natural/Black
This is a good-looking watch. The looks are true to the WWII aesthetic that inspire many watch designs today from affordable to top-tier. Modern manufacturing provides quality and value that's on par with much more expensive watches. The robust and quality leather band surprised me. It's all wearing well and the push-button Indiglow feature lights up the entire watch face. And water resistant to 50m to boot! I'm a pretty demanding/picky shopper and I just keep looking at this and thinking wow. Highly recommended. The 40mm case seemed a little large at first but I've gotten used to it and it provides numbers large enough to easily read with a glance. ... show more

  • A fantastic field watch at a compelling price
Color: Green/Natural/Black
This is a great field watch! This is my first time owning a Timex, and I have to say I'm impressed. I've owned a handful of Casio watches, a Seiko, and an Orient, and I wanted to give Timex a try. I've owned watches that cost more than 5 times the roughly $30 I paid for this one, and while this is definitely not in the same league as a Seiko or an Orient, I am very pleased with it. I've been wanting a field watch for awhile now to have as a more casual analog option, and this fits the bill perfectly. It's water resistant to 50 meters, it came with a comfortable NATO strap, and it has luminous hands as well as Timex's Indiglo feature, which is Timex's backlight technology that illuminates the full dial. So if you need to check the time in the dark, simply press the crown and the full dial will light up, which adds to practicality. This Timex expedition has a metal case, and I'd recommend it over the other expeditions that have a resin case, as the resin case expeditions have a notoriously loud tick and this one is a good bit quieter. The build quality is also noticeably better than the resin case models. I plan to use this as my daily driver/beater watch at work because it's simple and good looking, and is cheap enough that if it gets damaged it's not a big deal. Time accuracy is great as well, considering it's a quartz watch. Overall, if you're in the market for a field watch that is practical, affordable, and good looking, this is the watch for you. ... show more

  • Good Watch but buyer beware
Color: Tan/Gray/Gunmetal
Bought this watch for its reported toughness and accuracy. The price was right too. However, the watch had clearly been used and returned. The band had wear marks and the box had been torn. When I opened the box the watch just fell out. I had bought a "new" watch for full price but clearly this was not a new watch. All that said I will keep it because it's a nice looker and will serve its purpose. But, I'd be careful ordering from this supplier. ... show more

  • Good looking watch with a rugged look and feel.
Color: Green/Black/Gray
I haven't been wearing watches for several years but when I saw this I just had to have it. In a world where there are clocks on our phones, our tablets, our laptops and computers I asked myself why do I need a watch? I pretty much summed it up as this. Wearing a watch is a classy, manly thing and I really did miss wearing a watch everyday. So let's start again with a new watch. Besides, I now don't find myself digging in my pocket for my phone when someone asks me what time is it or when I need to look to see if my if I am running on time to a secret meeting with another covert operative for beers. This Timex has a classic design, with a rugged looking band that appears to be easily replaced down the road. I've only had it less than a week. But it feels like I have been wearing it for much longer than 5 days. I barely notice this on my wrist until I see it peeking out from my shirt sleeve or when I need to check the time. It has a solid feel to it but it doesn't feel heavy or cumbersome. I used to have a bad habit of catching watches on door frames while walking through doorways but I have yet to have this issue with this watch. Perhaps that might change when short sleeve weather comes around? The canvas style band is something new to me and I will have to get used to latching it. With one hole the band is too loose on my wrist and the next hole the band is almost too tight. I do not fault the watch for that small issue. After all, we are all built differently. Will the band stretch in time like my previous watches with leather bands or will it retain its current size? Perhaps in a few weeks or months I will know the answer to that question. As far as looks are concerned it has a classic military look and a rugged feel but by no means does it look like I'm trying to be tacticool. It is classic enough to be worn in the office, casually or in the park or at the beach. You could probably dress this up with a nice leather band for more formal office occasions or situations. But that is just a guess. It was instantly noticed by a few guys at work the first day I wore it into the office. Could it be that they are used to seeing me without a watch or just that it had a nice appeal to it? My wife likes the way it looks on me too. In other words, she didn't dismiss it as some trendy accessory and had nice things to say about the price. What about the Indiglo? Well in the dark it is easily readable. In somewhat dim light the hands seem to reflect enough light they they blend into the background and can be hard to see. But it is easier read without the indiglo in those situations. I really like the yellow seconds hand too. not too bright and just subtle enough to stick out of the black background. Does it keep accurate time? Since I set it after opening the box it appears to keep accurate time. It matches time with my Citizen, Fossil watches as well as my iPhone. If it loses any time I have yet to notice. What about the loud ticking? I don't hear it unless I put the watch up to my ear then it makes an audible tick. I have yet to hear it sitting on the nightstand next to my bed or even while wearing it. I have yet to get it wet, sweaty, dirty or banged up. But give me time, it will happen, I assure you. We will see if it stands up to regular daily use after I give it a thorough going over. I think with the classic styling of this watch it will look just as good with nicks and scratches as it does brand new. I am sure to add pictures and a follow up review down the road. I really like this watch and hope it takes a licking and keeps on ticking. ... show more

  • Great Casual Watch
Color: Green/Black/Black
Great watch, stylish, comes in many different colors. Perfect for everyday wear. Has date and military time, plus an indigo backlight button for lowlight scenarios. Decent strap, comfortable for me. I have smaller wrists and it fits fine. So far it holds up, no scratches yet and keeps on ticking. Only downside is it comes with no manual, had to look it up. You have to pull the dial which has three positions to set time, date, etc. ... show more

  • A Beautiful Everyday Carry
Color: Black/Black/Gray
It looks good, it feels good. I needed a daily watch that could pair well with my mostly dark wardrobe, be able to change straps, be affordable and a plus would be a backlight. Timex hit everything on the head for me here. Its a lighweight watch that you can forget is there, which is always a plus. Rasy to read and set. Easy to turn the backloght on without worry of stopping the watch. The strap isn't very impressive but it's very easy to change with your own. It's my first Timex of plenty more. ... show more
