  • Solid watch
Color: Black/Red Accent
This review is for the Timex Ironman Black/Red accent. The watch is typical band, that rubbery feel band. Comfort is fine to me. Style wise, I picked this over several less appealing styles. its not totally circular, or squarish. It should be fairly easy to clean, and I usually wipe it down once a week or so. Will fit as long as your arm isnt as beefy as Popeye. Setting time in theory is simple, no instructions needed. Was a little tricky though, as I was using my phone as reference to try and set exactly. Problem is getting used to the button and which to press when. I spent a good 5min alone navigating the time setings, until I could get within 15 seconds of the phones time and finally set it. Setting the Month/Day was similar to time, but obviously easier because you arent trying to set to match down to seconds as close as possible. I do wish the indiglo backlight was a bit stronger at least. Its worthless during day time obviously. In dark, is useable, but feels too dim in my opinion. I suppose its to ensure it doesnt waste battery power, but I am not so worried about wasting power for a watch. I have not setup the alarms so have no comment on them. Price wise, style, useablity, and compared to similar priced equivalents, its a buy ... show more

  • Uniquely impressive watch.
Color: Black/Gray/Orange Accent
Before I start my review of this Timex.... A few words about Casio, because there are millions of Casio fans, many of whom won’t ever admit that any non-Casio product could ever be superior in any way to a Casio. Yes, Casio makes amazing watches (& other gadgets). I have owned several. Great company. Over the decades, the company has produced thousands of watches with remarkable features like address & appointment management, altimeter, barometer, games, moon & tide phases, GPS, compasses, atomic clock auto-setting, solar power, etc. Great products. But .... if you want one amazing sport watch, nothing beats this Timex model. It has features one simply does not find on any Casio or any other digital watch brand or model. It is the perfect balance of features and simplicity with durability and comfort. 1) Major Comfort. This watch is amazingly comfortable for 5 reasons. It’s lightweight. The band is soft silicon, not hard plastic. The band has a contour, which matches your wrist curve. The band has a lot of holes, so you can get a perfect fit. The little “band keeper” loop actually locks into the excess band, so the keeper won’t slide around. Other sports watches have some combo of rigid plastic band, not enough holes, no locking band keeper. 2) Customizable Features. What I mean by this is that you can “hide” features from the Mode scroll-through if you aren’t interested in one or more. Easy example: the watch has three alarms. I use just one. I don’t plan to use the other two. I don’t want to see the other two alarms as I go through the watch functions. So I set it so that I don’t even see alarms 2 & 3 when I scroll through. This is a unique feature. Almost no digital watches have it. It’s a great way to simplify your watch’s configurations, if you like. 3) Ease of Setting. This watch is really intuitive to set (& to set up as I described immediately above). This is because it has 5 buttons and the screen itself shows you with labels how to “+” or “-“ the time when setting the time itself or an alarm. Amazingly straightforward. Absent on almost all other watches. 4) The Features Themselves. Without discussing all aspects is this watch (stopwatch, countdown timer, water resistance, etc.), I’ll focus on two unique features. (A) The alarm is loud. Unless you are medicinally sedated or are sleeping really heavily after a 48-hour nonstop work session, it *will* wake you up. (B) The Indiglo light (a technology Timex introduced almost 30 years ago) is amazing for reading the display at night or in a dark room (Related: The size of the display is great too. Bold, crisp, large (even though the watch face itself is not enormous)). If you are undecided, I’d suggest reading this review and then watching a couple YouTube reviews. If you’re still on the fence, just buy the watch. You’ll love it. Can you get a durable & functional non-Timex for $20 or under? Yes. But go with this for the slightly higher price. ... show more

  • Basic and minimalist watch ⌚
Color: Black/Gray/Orange Accent
This watch is amazing. Is very functional. Water resistant, I never took it off even when I am I the shower or in the sea. Have 3 alarms, Chrono, timer an occasional alarm , back light and have the date with month and week day. For the alarm you can choose between work days, weekends or all days. It's not particularly fashionable but it gets the job done. You will never going to think about the battery because this watch can handle for 10 years! yes 10 years. Is affordable and it's a very good replacement for smart watches when you want to go minimalistic. I am very happy with it. Is my everyday watch. ... show more

  • good watch
Color: Black/Silver/Gray
Its a great watch for any person who swims or just likes to be in the water! Its great at keeping time and I have always bought watches from this brand and it either stops lighting up or stops being waterproof around year 3 of owning it so it lasts a long time.

Its good quality for a good price. Very Light Weight with an easy to read screen. I wear it in the shower , jacuzzi, sauna, YMCA pools, and it still works flawlessly . So far, I'm extremely happy with it.

  • Quick review initially - Great Watch!
Color: Black/Gray/Orange Accent
Hopefully I can provide the information that I was looking for when buying a new sport watch. My wrist measures 7.5", and this band fits fine. There are even 2 additional slots before this wouldn't fit on someone's wrist. I did not need to cut anything off of the band because it was too long. The watch does not seem overwhelming on my wrist, and because of the design, it lays nicely and comfortably against my wrist. Other watches I've tried sit up high, but this watch face has a nice transition with the wristband. The end of the band also has a protrusion that helps it stay connected securing the extra band length. I've never seen that it other watches. I think the display is a clear and a great size without too many unnecessary functions, yet this watch has MANY functions (see the watch description for how many things this watch can do). If I can find any fault, the "night light" function is really poor. When in the dark, it's hard to read this watch. I plan to use this during the day during activities so that won't matter to me. I've had no experience under water, but beyond that, I would highly recommend this watch as a reasonably priced sports watch. ... show more
