Nice watch. Good quality. Keeps accurate time. Has enough features. Easy to read time.

  • Solid watch
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Black
This review is for the Timex Ironman Black/Red accent. The watch is typical band, that rubbery feel band. Comfort is fine to me. Style wise, I picked this over several less appealing styles. its not totally circular, or squarish. It should be fairly easy to clean, and I usually wipe it down once a week or so. Will fit as long as your arm isnt as beefy as Popeye. Setting time in theory is simple, no instructions needed. Was a little tricky though, as I was using my phone as reference to try and set exactly. Problem is getting used to the button and which to press when. I spent a good 5min alone navigating the time setings, until I could get within 15 seconds of the phones time and finally set it. Setting the Month/Day was similar to time, but obviously easier because you arent trying to set to match down to seconds as close as possible. I do wish the indiglo backlight was a bit stronger at least. Its worthless during day time obviously. In dark, is useable, but feels too dim in my opinion. I suppose its to ensure it doesnt waste battery power, but I am not so worried about wasting power for a watch. I have not setup the alarms so have no comment on them. Price wise, style, useablity, and compared to similar priced equivalents, its a buy ... show more

  • Great athletic watch!
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone/Orange
I've worn this type of watch for years. It's not expensive, but is high quality. The features are accurate and easy to use. It can take a beating (high or low temps, physical hits) and still keeps working. Honestly the only reason I've ever replaced it with a new version is because I've lost the old one. ... show more

  • Great Watch -Some Concerns
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone
I have purchased Timex Iron Man series, and similar, watches for many years. They are an excellent value, with good functionality overall. However, there has been one overriding negative design feature that should have been dealt with a long time ago. That is the strap quality. The strap appears to be silicone, and over time removing the strap causes it to crack prematurely, and break. The watch still functions wonderfully, but the straps are NOT replaceable. Therefore, you either need to cut of most of the strap and use it as a pocket watch (which I will NOT do), or THROW THE WATCH AWAY. Secondly, the Indiglo light design has been changed from older iterations of the watch. Older Indiglo lighting was much brighter and easier to read than in this model. Also, the text font size is now smaller and harder to read. Lastly, the button to activate the Indiglo traditionally was on the lower right button. Now, it has been moved to the upper right button. After many years of knowing where it was, it has been irritating to now still push the wrong button initially. ... show more

  • Great watch

Got it as a gift for my husband and he loves it! It fits well, is neutral enough to go with any outfit, and is easy to read and use.

  • A very comfy, pleasant casual sports watch- especially good for training
Color: Black/Digital Gray/Silver-Tone
The Ironman series of watches has been around for about 40 years now, and with good reason. The current iteration doesn't disappoint. It's light weight, easy-to-read, has a good backlight, offers simple operation, great buttons, a decently loud chime, and is a feature rich watch. I purchased this one on a lark; it was sold as "used- very good" from an Amazon warehouse for $20. The Timex packaging/ box was damaged, but the watch itself was new, wrapped and seemed unused. Since I do not wear an item's packaging, I always look for such items when shopping on Amazon, as it can save quite a bit. In this case it was $12 less expensive, or about 1/3 less costly. I have owned a digital watch for over 40 years; from left to right in the photo- my 1980 Seiko (owned since new), my daily Casio, which has solar and atomic clock radio signal time setting, and the Ironman for you to compare size. Owning a number of Casio digital watches, I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and ease of use of this Timex Ironman. The Ironman does feel somewhat more "plasticky" that some Casio watches I have, which may influence some buyers. But once you get past that feel, if you like the look of the watch, it's a great offering, especially at a $20 price point. The on the Ironman, a chronograph, a countdown timer, a second time zone, three alarms, 30 lap records, occasion reminders , and a perpetual calendar make it comparable, or better than many of the similarly priced Casio offerings. The Ironman does not feel quite as substantial as some of the lower cost G-Shock offerings I have tried, but is at least as comfy on my 7 1/2 inch wrist. Water resistance seems fine at 100 meters, and the recessed plastic crystal should avoid most scratches. The features should be very useful for those who do not want to wear a smartwatch for training. I hope this review has been helpful. ... show more
