This watch is very comfortable to wear, which to me is equal in importance to functionality (if the watch isn't comfortable, I won't wear it). I've never needed three alarms until now, as I started commuting to DC. I use alarm 1 to remind me that I need to leave within 5 minutes to catch the train in the morning. I use alarm 2 to remind me when I have 15 minutes left before I have to leave work to catch the return train. And I used alarm 3 to wake me up (if I fall asleep on the train during the return commute) 10 minutes before I arrive at my station. Plus, the alarm is loud (I can barely hear my cheap Casio's alarm) and has a different/better sound than previous alarms on watches. I also use the timer to mediate and the stopwatch for exercising. I have been using these watches for many years with very good luck, and would normally give them 5 stars. They are comfortable, waterproof, durable, and have an alarm and a countdown timer. (The waterproof and countdown timer - that can be set to repeat - make them good for sailboat racing, and these are much cheaper than sailing watches. ) But at some point before the watch breaks, the battery will die. It is not hard to replace the battery. Except now the watch comes with triangle head screws holding the back on, rather than the regular phillips head screws they used to have. Why? Is it that important to keep people from opening up their watch? Making things harder to fix is a step in the wrong direction. Knocking off one star for that. ... show more

Great basic digital watch (my hearing is so lousy I cannot hear the alarm anymore). Not too many doo-dads and pretty intuitive and, for the price, built like a tank (well...a $30 tank anyway). I've tried others and keep coming back to this basic design. The colors may change, the printing eventually wears off, but the watch keeps working. About the only failure points are the battery (which is inevitable) and, on occasion, the strap may fail. Replacements are available (well, they used to be). Repair if you want or replace with a new one... ... show more

I bought this watch and the Casio G-Shock DW5600UE-1V at the same time in July 2025. Three months in and I’ve done the same activities with both watches…daily wear, swimming, going to the beach, being in the ocean, showering, etc. Both watches have held up just fine. However, the Ironman has a bigger screen, is easier to read, and the Indiglo blows the G-Shock’s single side-mounted LED out of the water. The Ironman is less expensive than the G-Shock and even if it dies within a few years, it was less than $40! I got my 6 year old son the smaller (30mm?) three months before I got the adult version and he’s really beat the hell out of it…it’s still perfect. If you’re like me and debating the two, get the Ironman. I like the G-Shock’s stopwatch feature better, but if you need alarms, the Ironman has three of them.
