I’ve been using the C5 Pro for a month grinding daily for [pour-over / espresso / French press / mixed methods]. Overall I’d give it 5 stars. What I like • The 42 mm S2C-042-III burrs produce noticeably more consistent grounds than [my previous grinder or cheaper hand grinders]. Clarity in the cup is good and the particle size holds up well. • Adjustment is precise — about 48 clicks per full rotation at 0.031 mm per click. Easy to dial in and the clicks feel solid and repeatable. • All-metal body feels premium and sturdy. The folding handle and compact size (roughly 53 mm diameter) make it practical for both home and travel. • Grinding is smoother and less effort than expected thanks to the dual bearings. Capacity of ~25–30 g is perfect for single or double doses. • quiet operation, easy to clean with the included brush, anti-slip base is nice. What could be better • capacity is limited if you brew for more than 1–2 people / external adjustment means you sometimes have to count clicks carefully / slight learning curve finding your exact settings. Over the years I've gone from a cheap electric grinder to a better electric grinder to a cheap hand grinder with a conical burr, and now to the C5 Pro. The immediate thing I notice is that the grind size is consistent - and I mean that the results are very noticeable compared to every other grinder I've used. I've been used to getting chunks of somewhat uniform size with lots of finer "dust". This leads to inconsistent brews (I use this for pour over with a V60). I'm still dialing it in, but this grinder offers very fine adjustments, and I can tell the difference when I change the grind size. The build quality is fantastic, I love the folding handle, adjustments are easy - I've got nothing to complain about. It's relatively expensive, but well worth the price.

I’ve been using this for a few months now, it is very easy to use and extremely satisfying as well. It allows in my opinion very fine control of the grounds. It feels great in the hands with a nice heft to it and knurling for grip. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a manual grinder.

There’s another layer to coffee flavor, and a burr grinder is what brings it out. Doesn’t have to be this one, but this is a very high quality grinder. I think it only takes me about 90 seconds or so to grind it when fully filled with beans. It’s easy, and actually kind of nice to hand grind. The moment I opened the box I could see the quality of this device. And using it, the weight, and smooth operation confirms that this is a well made durable device. I’m glad I got the folding handle one, as it’s easier to store on the shelf and take with me if I do so. 10/10, highly recommend. It’s a lot of money for a grinder, but it’s well worth it in my opinion

I don't know that I have a refined enough palate to get into all the ins and outs of flavor, but I will say as a tool this is a pleasure to use. When I wake up, I look forward to using it in the morning. The C5 operates smoothly on good bearings and feels solid. I started with an entry level $30 model that took 4 minutes and felt like it took 800 turns. Skip the entry level and get the C5, yes it is 3x the price of a blade grinder but this burr grinder is 10x better.

I've used a C3 Pro for the last 3 years. My wife was wanting to start grinding whole flax seeds instead of buying pre ground so she wanted a grinder to do that, and I gifted her my C3. I purchased the C5 Pro since it has a larger 30 gram capacity and I'm grinding for a 12 cup drip coffee maker. I do like that they upgraded the bottom with a soft surface for sitting on the counter, I do see they have also updated the C3 with a padded base now. Will say coming from the C3 I should have read the instructions better. I set the C5 the same as the C3 I had been using, and the coffee came out fine enough for espresso. After reading the instructions and setting the C5 properly I'm back in business. Only negative I have found is I do like the knurling on my older C3 better than the knurling on the new C5. Seen it appears they changed the knurling on the current production C3 also. My only gripe about both the C3 Pro and the C5 Pro is it has a folding handle for travel but, they don't include a bag to put it in when traveling. I did happen to find a zippered bag from something else that fit the grinder to protect it when traveling
