It’s smaller in size. So if your head is a bit bigger it might be tight. For me I wear a s/m ball cap and it fits perfect. Slightly smaller than say a Carhartt similar product.

I like this hat, but it tends to be a bit too snug, enough that it can be slightly painful if worn too long. It's warm and stylish, though. It looks good with almost any outfit.

I bought this for my dad that had serious health issues. He does keep falling. I got worried with upcoming season that has snow that he would fall so I bought this in orange color. In short: too small. It is quite snug on my large lady head. It may loosen up, but at this moment is nearly uncomfortable I prefer Carhartt. The price on many are in the $20-36 range, which is insane--they used to be $10-12 not that long ago. I came back here to buy my annual hat, and when I saw the price I just couldnt do it. I then scouted around for similar hats. I saw plenty of generics at better price point, but when I saw the name brand Timberland, I automatically went for it. It looks smaller, and it fits smaller than Carhartt. That may be a good thing if you have a small head. Stacked on top of each other there isnt a huge size difference, but the material is more snug feeling and it creates an eve more snug fit. My head feels compressed. Material isnt as soft, but it is doable. So far no problems with actual quality. I havent worn it much--I keep grabby for my old hats, but in time I will wear this. If it fits better, or if it falls apart I will update. I will try a Dickies, and a generic soon. See how they stack up against each other. ... show more
