Let's start with congratulations. You have done it, you have finally clicked on the last Double Pedal Patch, Black Nylon (EQPB2) by EVANS you will ever need. This thing is nice. Like, both eyebrows raised while whistling- nice. The ride doesn't stop there, it comes as a pair. THAT IS CORRECT FOLKS- YOU GET TWO OF THEM. You thought it was getting crazy with the girthy protection of your drum heads from those punishing devious felt (or rubber) beaters. No, enjoy the comfort and also the sound it tempers for you. Electric, Acoustic, or Free range, it adheres so you don't have to. So you can go on and sweat from your double blast beats my strong supple friend, and not from that overwhelming love & concern for your drum pad/head. It's also black and nylon, not all shimmery and plastic looking. Not only will that strike zone sound nice and protected, but it will also look sexy yet authoritative, clean but, nasty, as well as uniform yet jazzy.     • Works on Roland Electronic bass drum pad

My Roland bass drum kicker pad developed a tear in the rubber head. To save some money, I simply put short strips of black electrical tape over the tear and it's been working. but looks funky. When I ran across these patches, I thought this would be the perfect way to cover the tape and make the drum head look new again. Sure enough, the patch covers the area perfectly and now the kicker pad looks like new and supposed to look that way. The single pedal patch measures 2.5 inches in diameter. It doesn't affect the sensitivity of the drum at all. It's nice that two pads are included in case I have an issue down the road. I wish I had done this when the drums were new as it probably would have prevented the tear. I am very happy with the way this turned out and recommend it for both real and electronic bass drums. ... show more

Works pretty good on my DIY kick drum trigger. I really was hoping to use this with the KAT tennis ball beater to eliminate double hits, but this plan didn't work. I can't entirely blame this patch or the beater for this issue. It could be the fault of the Remo practice pad. I've loosened the head on the practice pad as much as I can, but this didn't help. I think I play like most drummers do and that's to let the beater rest on the head after the hit, but this is what causes double hits with electronic drums. It's not easy, but I'm having to adjust my playing style to let the beater spring back off the head immediately after the hit and this eliminates the double hits. But again, playing like this is a bit difficult. ... show more
