I ordered these Timberland Pro Gloves in XL, and they're a pretty good fit. I'm a fairly large guy, wearing either XXL or XL shirts, and have usually worn XL gloves in the past. These have a little extra room in the ends of the fingers, and I wish I could try on the Large version and compare the difference in the fit. That said, they're quite comfortable, and I'd probably rather have gloves that fit with some extra space instead of gloves that are too tight to comfortably move and flex my hands. So XL was most likely the right choice. These gloves are currently $40, which may seem like a lot for a pair of work gloves, but they're clearly designed to last for many years. They have the look and feel of high quality gloves, offering a lot of comfort and protection. They're thick, but flexible, allowing a lot of dexterity while wearing them. I've had some work gloves before that felt pretty stiff, so they protected my hands, but really limited what I could do, and that's not the case with these. These are reportedly machine washable, which is a handy feature, but I haven't washed them myself so I can't say how well they'll hold up in the wash. As sturdy as they feel I would guess they'll do well. Time will tell how long they'll last, which is the biggest measure of the value of an item like this, but my guess is that I'll still be using these work gloves in ten years. These would make an excellent gift, too. Overall, I'm very happy with the Timberland Pro Men's Work Gloves. I'll be trimming rose bushes and working in my yard while wearing these for many years, and I suspect they would hold up to much heavier work than what I have in mind, too. Highly recommend.

I would say I was a little skeptical about the price, however the quality makes him well worth it. As soon as you slide these on you can feel the thick insulation, tell that they're well constructed, and should last for a good long while. Every stitching is double stitched and the quality far exceeds what's shown in the picture. Timberland is already a well-known name and from the quality of these gloves you can see that there's a reason. Highly recommend them!

It is late June in Indiana. Everything here in Indiana grows too fast. If you are into growing flowers they will bloom here very quick. Meanwhile other plants I don't want grow too fast with sticky needles and these gloves totally took care of protecting my hands taking them out. I went with medium and a little tight but well worth protecting me.

These are really nice gloves! Great for hard work, comfortable to wear, insulated, and sturdy. I like the feel and sturdiness of these gloves, and like how they protect my hands during hard and possibly injurious labor. They're listed as washable, which I haven't tried yet, but don't worry about problems doing in the future. The gloves do fit true to size, at least with this pair.
