This is hiking boot - shoe is for serious hikers. Very well made from sturdy materials. Sole insert is soft, sole enough hard but flexible and good grip. Boot is on medium weight, more for colder - cooler weather, can be hot in this boot in summer time, all materials are thick and not really breathable. True size, fits very secure, not a lot of space for feet movement. I need something lighter for summer time, recreational, so not my choice of boot. ... show more

These timberlands run a little big. Size 11 feels more like a 12. Timberland should have at least put the anti fatigue insoles in these. Other than that, they are nice hiker/sneakers. Sometimes there is a reason why some items are on sale.
