Got this after another 6 man easy-up of mine finally died. Arrived quickly to take on a camping trip we had planned. I usually test my tents before a trip, but decided to try this one in the field. Easy-Up as usual - setup with 2 people took about 10 min, would probably take 15 with 1 person. No obvious manufacturing flaws of any kind. Staked out fly, as we were supposed to get showers. Interior is REALLY roomy. I'm 5'9", wife is 6', neither of us has to stoop in the tent. Large enough to put a queen sized Coleman cot, all of our gear, and still have room to move. Rain hit a bit harder than just showers, and wind kicked up a bit. With the windows and doors closed, there was absolutely no leakage at all. Dry as a bone, even though the ground outside had standing water by the time the storm was done. After that, we opened the screens, and airflow was perfect. Breakdown, as expected, took about 15 min. Repacked, the size of the tent is relatively unobtrusive for its size. Have taken it camping 3 times now, and it's holding up great. Definitely recommend. [update] Have owned this for a year and a half now, taken on more than 10 camping trips. This tent is a keeper. No issues at all. Had one small tear happen near the front door, which was easily patched. Other than that, outstanding tent for this price point. ... show more

Can’t complain I was able to fit my queen size blowup mattress and still had a little room inside. It wasn’t the biggest but not the smallest tent either the zippers worked great honestly a good product easy to setup, waterproof, I just couldn’t figure out how to keep the front porch canopy up but other than that good quality ... show more

I’ve been really impressed with the Timber Ridge 6 Person Tent so far. It’s very spacious inside and doesn’t feel cramped even with multiple people and gear. The materials feel high quality and well made, and the blackout feature actually works surprisingly well for keeping the tent darker and cooler in the mornings. Setup was also much easier than I expected, which is always a huge plus after a long drive or hike. My only real downside is the storage bag feels a little too small in my opinion, but honestly I feel that way about most tents once you try packing them back up. Only time will tell how well it holds up through spring and summer camping in the Colorado mountains, but first impressions have been great. ... show more

    • My initial concerns and what I discovered!
Man, after reading some of the reviews of this tent, I was worried about the quality of what I had purchased to say the least. My biggest concerns from some of the other reviews were the issues people talked about with the zipper, and others mentioning the thinness of the tent flooring. After setting up this weekend, here are my observations: 1). I don't know why people have such a hard time with the zipper. Sure, you have to be careful not to snag it on other parts of the tent, but I feel like that would be the case with any tent. The quality of the zipper was good and it was very easy to zip up/down as long as you pulled the other tent fabric away from the zipper when doing so! Put another way, if I hadn't read reviews trashing the zipper, the quality of it wouldn't have even passed my mind. 2). The flooring for the tent also seemed fine, no different than any other tent I've been in before. It didn't appear to be thin as others had suggested and I feel that as long as you are careful with setting up and taking the tent down that the floor should last awhile! It didn't rain this weekend, so unfortunately I can't comment on the waterproof aspect of the tent (if I notice it's an issue I'll update this review). Overall, I would recommend this tent. It was easy to put up and take down and literally took only a couple minutes for each. Getting the tent in the bag is definitely a pain, but I wouldn't let that persuade you from buying it. The tent seemed very sturdy and I loved the fact that I could stand up in it (I'm 6 foot) with room to spare. I think the tent could easily fit 4 people with extra room for backpacks, etc. The vents at the top are also cool at night as you can literally see the sky on a clear night. If I could improve the tent, I would make it more sunlight proof in the morning, and I would also provide a slightly larger storage bag, but aside from that this tent gets 5 stars in my book! ... show more

    • Great tent and easy set up
This tent is a nice roomy tent that I can put up by myself in about 10 mins from start to finish with the rainfly attached and a tarp layed out on the ground for the tent to sit on. I don't really know how water proof the sides are because I had a tarp covering the whole tent while it rained on us, But I can testify to the waterproofing on the floor, It literally looked like a waterbed when you walked around inside the tent because we we sitting in about 2" of water and NOTHING got thru and we were dry as a bone inside. The bottom of this tent has some sort of waterproofing material all around the bottom and up all 4 of the sides about 4-6 inches and it keeps you dry during a heavy rain. We also had some really strong winds and it stood strong with no damage. I really like the tent and I'm very happy with my purchase. It seems to be very well made and with good quality materials. I would definitely recommend to others. I will update this review down the road for a longevity review after some time of use! ... show more

Sooo easy to set up and take down. We took it down in the rain in maybe 5 minutes. Spacious for sure, fit our queen air mattress and a pack and play next to it. Not sure about fitting 6 people but definitely 4 with room to move

My husband and I recently upsized to this tent from a smaller Coleman Sundome. We liked the idea of a cabin tent he could fully stand up in ( he is 6’) and we were also excited about having a bit more storage space. After returning from a 4 day trip, I can tell you there are definite pros and cons to this tent. Pros: Easy to set up, unless you are really short like me (5’)-then you might need a small stool or a helper in order to fully raise the legs. Well-ventilated. Kept us dry during a thunderstorm. Very Roomy for 2-3 people. The front apron works well and helps keep dirt out. Cons: Fresh out of the box, we noticed small pin sized holes along one seam and a small hole in the roof. After reading other reviews we sealed all seams with tent sealer which took care of the pinholes. A small patch of clear duct tape fixed the roof hole. We were annoyed, but due to upcoming trip didn’t want the hassle of returning the tent so decided to keep it. However, after just ONE camping trip, we now have a small hole in the floor, and two holes in the tent bag! Our 10 year old Coleman tent is still in very good shape and has no holes, despite numerous camping trips and use as a play tent by 5 grandsons. I think we are going to have to return the Timber Ridge tent, unless we plan to keep a large roll of duct tape handy! ... show more
