I was disappointed, because the case was caved in and the easel was torn all of the way across the bottom, so the cardboard was sliding out when you opened it up. The drawing sheets were all crumpled up. This drawing art kit is not a good quality and I would not give it as a gift.

Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. This comes with so many coloring stuff for a very low price so naturally some of the products are a little on the cheaper side, not the greatest quality. But if you're a mom of two toddlers like me, you know that most of these coloring stuff is going to end up broken or on the floor, so I really don't mind. I loved that it came with so many stuff to color with, water colors, markers, coloring pencils, crayons. I got it because i had something like this when i was little and i loved it. Plus my daughter loves to draw and color now so i got it for her and she loves it too. The package did take a very long time to receive and also it came damaged on one corner, nothing major, but worth mentioning. Overall you do get your moneys worth in my opinion.

I am in total shock over this kit. It brings me back to the good ole days of my childhood when we would get an art kit and think we were the Monet's and Van Gough's of the art world with our rinky dink art kit. This eclipses that by far. It's a tri-fold kit has items on two sides, but also a third panel in the middle that you can use to actually draw on. It lifts up and can be used like an easel, makes a kid really feal artistic. Got this for the oil pastels which are great. I think this thing is amazing. It's perfect for kids, or amateur artists. If you want a little bit of everything, this is the perfect kit. It's huge! Contains a bunch of options - crayons, the oils, water color, fine tip and large tip markers, colored pencils. It has everything! It even comes with white drawing paper and some coloring books. So this could make the perfect gift for a kid's birthday or xmas. It comes exactly as pictured!

This starter kit is good for young artists just learning. The age suggestions are accurate (3&up). The Good: nice case to keep everything organized and in one place. The built in easel is ok but to much pressure and it will collapse. The water color cakes and the markers are the best in this kit, nice color and easy to use. The clips to hang the paper on the easel were perfect. The not so good: The crayons are very waxey and hard to get a good coverage without leaving wax clumps., as well as the "Oil Pastels" NO oil about them, they are just waxey crayons in the shape of an oil Pastels. That being said, it is still a good starter kit for young ones.
