Advantages: -- I am able to fit small 3 ring binders inside that hold important documents -- There are 4 mounting holes to the rear and 4 mounting holes under, which is nice. -- There are backup keys for when the electronics fail or batteries die. -- There is a separate external battery pack you can plug into the keypad area to give it juice if the batteries inside the safe die. -- It's white (!), meaning it matches the paint color in the closet and looks nice. (I don't get why most safes are black.) -- There is a light inside. Disadvantages: -- Limited hardware included for mounting, will have to supply my own screws. -- The keypad is so LOUD when the buttons are pressed! If you are looking for a safe that won't alert someone nearby you're trying to get in it, this ain't it. With the doors open, one could hear this 30 feet away. -- Buttons are not lit and do not light up, so you cannot see to enter the code without a light on. -- You have to push the number sign to wake it up before you enter the access code, which is an extra step and might be forgotten by someone who doesn't access the safe often. -- It came with a small chip in the paint on the front. -- There is no real inner covering, so I've ordered some adhesive felt to cut out and lay down inside. -- Would likely provide little protection against submersion in water or fire. ... show more

I had to return because the safe was sent locked with no instructions and what sounds like keys locked inside. Not too happy about wasting my time to return this.

I feel like you get what you pay for. I loved that this was white, looks sharp in my son's room. That being said...it's for my six year old. If this were a safe I was storing a gun or valuables I'd be a little more concerned. Just got it, over all a great safe so far.

This safe is a good toy safe possibly but the spring for the battery pack was in the way of putting the battery in and I had to jam the batteries in. Also, the combo feels like as an adult I could break it with possibly one hand. That said, the seller refunded most my money back , more than 50 percent, and didn’t hassle me to return. They knew the sturdiness of the safe just isn’t there to store a gun in a home with kids which is why I bought it. The seller handle concern you have so good peoples.
