  • Very nice machine
Never had a problem with mine, easy to set up and use. My only objection is the foot pedal wants to try and walk away from you so you need to mount it and the connection used for it is a RG-45 connector which are easy to fix if you have the proper crimp tools but really not made for a rugged environment, would much rather see a connector plug with strain relief. I have looked at all red, yellow, the new orange and green machines and for me ,you just cant beat a Miller machine. I have two this one and a 215 multimatic and can do just about anything a hobby welder could want to do. I have had other machines but Miller is the cadillac of this industry ... show more

  • Dead machine
I got about fifty hours on my machine then it died. Just got back from the repair shop they said around 2,700 to fix. (Main board). I have user Miller machines welding in shops for over 45 years. This one I just threw my money away. BUYER BEWARE!!!

  • Miller 180 diversion tig welder
I have been using this diversion180 for a few weeks now and it is a very nice machine, easy to set up and use adjustments are easy to make.It does a real nice job on both aluminum and steel! And at 50 lbs it is portable and will run on 240v or 120v.

  • Miller sets the Standard
Don't listen to reviews about this machine breaking every 6 months. I've used this equipment for years, professionally. TiG and MiG, Steel, Stainless and Aluminum. Welding with Miller machines is like sleeping on a bed of golden goose feathers coated in baby unicorn dust with a gorgeous babe in your arms. Go and use a different brand and you'll see how nice and indestructible Miller is. Anyone who gives this brand a bad review doesn't know anything about welding. Show me your welds and I'll show you mine, I bet mine are prettier and stronger. Miller is the industry standard of welding machines. Everyone else is just trying to make a cheaper version of a Miller. Anyone who gives this brand a two star rating should be slapped. ... show more

  • FAN TOO LOUD, but a great tig. REVISED REVIEW
I have had this welder for just 6 hours. I will pack it back up and try to sell it. It works perfectly, HOWEVER, I cannot stand the VERY loud fans that run even at very low power. If you are welding, they are on. It may not bother YOU, but it drove me up a wall. I am SO disappointed. I just sold my Harbor freight Tig and to be perfectly honest, I wish I had it back. The unit was dead silent and never found the need to turn on cooling fans. And all of this at only 30 amps! I see that there are quite a few others that feel the way I do. REVISION: I thought twice about returning this item and have had it now for more than one year. To be perfectly honest I no longer notice the loud fan at all. I suppose it was just the initial discovery of the noise that bothered me. Overall this is a GREAT machine all the way round. I find no fault with it at all and it is a pleasure to use. The company technicians are friendly and free with suggestions and advice. I am happy with my purchase! By the way, the engineers gave me an understandable explanation of why the fan "seems" to work overtime. Without going into detail it made perfect sense to me. ( The manufacturer has no idea what type of climate the machine will be used in.) ... show more

  • Two Stars
Works o.k. but it breaks every 6 months

  • Excellent welder
I have had this welder about 6 months, it is fantastic. Having bought it mainly for aluminum I have found it more capable with stainless and mild steels than my Miller maxstar 180. The fact that it is a dual voltage machine makes it that much better

  • Awesome
This machine welds amazing. Perfect for my home made welded clocks I make in my home shop. Great puddle control and arc.
