I'm a thrifty girl, okay. I've never spent more than 12ish dollars for a notebook or journal, but when I saw this one I was sooooo tempted, although wary because I've bought many a notebook only to be disappointed later by paper quality. This notebook exceeded all of my expectations. It's size is so nice (it'll last forever!) and the paper quality is so much better than I'd initially expected. The dots as well are more faint than I'd thought they'd be. I expected thin paper with very visible dots but that isn't at all what I got. The paper does ghost when used with sharpies and I 100% believe it'd buckle if used with water based media (watercolors) but I don't plan on using those and if I do want to I'll probably just allocate two pages so the ghosting won't be visible on the other side. I can, however, use metallic paint markers with very minimal ghosting. I bought this journal to be a grimoire of sorts, so most of the decorative elements I intend on including will be done in pencil, ink, or marker. Any watercolor artwork I plan to include will be glued in. So keep this in mind if your intended purpose for this journal is different than mine. For my purposes this journal is a 10/10. The cover is obviously beautiful and the texture is a velvety smooth pleather sort of material. I have had this notebook for several weeks and have travelled a bit with it and it doesn't have any visible scratches, although I'm sure if you really tried (or didn't try to keep it safe, rather) that you could definitely scratch the cover. I definitely recommend this cover for the price if you don't mind working around some of the limitations of the paper or if you're using it purely as a notebook with no plans of using heavy markers like sharpies or paints. If that sort of thing bothers you or you need thicker paper, maybe go for a different journal pretty cover or not. (I will say though I searched a ton for a journal this thick with thicker paper and I couldn't find any. Might be an issue on my part, but it's something to take into account as well).

This journal is absolutely STUNNING. The gold foil is beautiful and the cover is hard & sturdy. I’m a bit bummed how thin the pages are though since my pens do bleed, and they’re just regular bullet journaling pens. I don’t see being able to use my Tombow markers here either. But beautiful journal!

The media could not be loaded. This journal is everything i hoped it wd be, it is GORGEOUS!!! I got leo and its stunning!!!! 🤩 the paper is a little thin but that’s no big deal to me. I got this for its beautiful cover and it did NOT disappoint i LOVE it!!!
