I bought this for both my kids and my new little nephew. These mattresses are amazing. Firm but still soft. Way better quality than the other mattresses I have bought previously. Highly recommend putting it on your baby registry because it will be great to use as a toddler bed as well.

I bought this because my son was ready to get away from the normal vinyl crib/ toddler mattress. It was also second hand and we wanted to buy him a brand new one that he would like, so he helped me choose this one. I did buy a quilted crib size mattress protector for it just in case, as he was still having the occasional night time accident. So far so good on that part. It's comfortable. He's not tossing and turning as much now and looks forward to going to his bed every night without protest and it's able to wake to go to the bathroom at night. He's a hot sleeper and hasn't woke up sweaty since he's been sleeping on it, even though the room is kind of warm during the spring and summer months. I think this helps a lot in all of that, since he's more comfortable now. It comes vacuum sealed in a medium box. Pretty lightweight. Clean. No rips or other defects. No factory smell. It inflated to normal shape pretty quickly out of the package. The corners took longer to come back to shape, so if they don't right away, it may take a few days longer. I don't see this being a huge problem for an older child, but it could be for ones still young enough in a crib. It fits snug onto his frame though. No gaps. There's no springs. It's just like an adult foam mattress. Plenty firm enough for a child. Not so much for a grown adult though lol might work well for dogs too, as others have used it for, although I wouldn't say it's firm enough for ones over maybe 90lbs. My 75lb boxer laid on and it sanks about half way down. The outer fabric is smooth and soft. He loves it, so it was worth buying to me. ... show more

Seems like a good mattress for a toddler size bed. While this wasn't obvious in the item description, it's the typical rolled up product that expands to size once opened. Worth noting that they say it takes 72 hours (or more) to fully expand, though our experience was that it seemed fine after less than 24 hours. Bought this crib mattress for our three senior dogs. They all prefer to sleep together and dog beds just don't cut it for them. I can tell you 100% that they all love this mattress as it holds it shape and doesn't sink to the floor with all of them on it. We're talking an 80lb Boxer/Bulldog, a 70lb Pitbull and a 9lb Chihuahua. I know that is not at all what this is made for, but we are super impressed with this mattress and how happy and less stiff our dogs are sleeping on it. We've bought many other brands and types and have had to stuff pillows and those egg crate foam mattress covers between them and the sheet cover for comfort for the dogs, but this one has not needed anything extra. We do use waterproof crib sheets on it to protect it from any messes, and the sheets have proven to be enough as the mattress still looks and smells brand new. I lay on it with each of them from time to time for snuggles and it does not hurt my arthritis while laying with them. ... show more
