I bought the "Crib Beige Cloud Breathable Cover" option, and it was hard for me to discern the difference between this one and other options. I only notice now that the sides are mesh, and just the top is waterproof. You will want the "5" Beige Cloud Vinyl Cover" if want total coverage. I wish I got that. I think it will work out well enough, but what I really wanted was a mattress totally encased in vinyl. I use toddler beds as dog beds for my large labs as toddler beds are the size most large dogs can use and has the support but at a much better price. Our old mattress was beginning to crack. Not a big deal, but our cat will sometimes pee on the bed and so I was concerned that the pee may get through the cracks. So I need it to be fully waterproof. I dont expect any run off to the sides since I use a fitted sheet and top with a couple of potty pads. ... show more

Upgrading my lil bit into their first big kid bed and this was perfect. I’m potty training so I chose this mattress to save myself some stress or worry about having a soiled mattress situation later. Can withstand toddler jumping on it. Firm. A lil noisy but that doesn’t bother me considering all I’ll have to do is wipe down the mattress if any accidents happen. This is the most comfortable toddler/crib mattress. My toddler loves it. It has a protective side that keeps wetness from going in the mattress, but not hard plastic.
