It is very firm. But still soft. The thickness was perfect for my baby’s pack and play. It’s pretty big, so you can’t fold it or travel with it like the other fold mattresses but if it’s just for the babies bed at home. I think it’s perfect.

We have a mini crib for our grandbaby and this is perfect. My husband doubted that it was breathable, I put my face in it and breathed fine. He didn't believe me (lol) and so he tried and was very shocked at how easy it was to breath! It also turns out the it fits in the Pack N' Play as well. Baby wasn't sleeping in the bassinet in the Pack N' Play very well. But he slept great in his mini crib at our house and his big crib at home. We had the idea that if this would fit it might help. Bought this for my sons crib, and he’s 2 months old and sleeps soundly on it. It’s lightweight and firm. Absolutely perfect for our mini crib. I’ll probably even be taking it on trips for the pack n play as well because I don’t like the mattress that comes with the pack n play.

This mattress was pretty nice when I opened it up. I was excited to use this at first, then I thought about the downsides to this mattress. When you put a sheet on it, it no longer becomes effective. With that being said the cover and mattress can’t be washed. My son puked on it the first night and it sank right into the mattress. The mattress was a great value and fits perfectly in our pack n play with a mini-crib sheet. Very comfortable and I think it helps a lot to keep the baby asleep throughout the night when we are traveling. Without a mattress protector it would still be plenty breathable I think.
