Description

Designed for use on light trucks and SUVs, the Ranger ATR from Thunderer is a tough all-terrain tire that's also pre-drilled for easy installation of studs in extreme winter weather. The Ranger ATR features an optimized rubber compound for off-road traction, full nylon overwrap layer in the plies, and a pattern of 3D sipes and rigid tread blocks for solid wet-weather traction. Additionally, the Ranger ATR is backed by an up to 50,000 mile limited manufacturer tread life depending on the tire's size.

I've been using these now since August of 2025 and it is currently Nov. 19th. They have worked will on snow and ice, i've been driving around in 2wd for the most part with no major peel outs. I have trust they will do good in the deeper snow this winter. Only thing with these 10ply's is when its below freezing temps it takes a few miles for the tire to warm up and get rid of the bump/limp from being parked at night. Just had these tires installed on my 18’ Tundra a few days ago. I bought these cause I didn’t want to spend $1400 again on tires and so far I like em’. No issues mounting or balancing and they're as loud if not slightly quieter than my Cooper AT3’s. Ride quality is on par with my AT3’s, very smooth for an AT tire. Quality seems excellent for the price you pay I got all four tires for $655. Time will tell how long they’ll last if any issues arise I’ll update my review. ... show more

    • VIBRATION AND BALANCING ISSUES/ MOST LIKELY DEFECTIVE
After installation, my truck started vibrating excessively, making it undrivable at speeds over 60 miles per hour. I returned to the tire store to address the issue, and they rebalanced the tires, but the extreme vibration persisted. The only conclusion was that the tires might be defective, although this is difficult to prove definitively. Be cautious—returning the tires is nearly impossible. The seller required me to pay for the return and also demanded reports from the tire manufacturer. It's like buying a damaged TV and being told I have to take it to an electrician, pay for a report to prove it's defective, and only then can I return it ... show more

Great AT tire with minimal road noise. Have been very happy with them at 10,000 miles. Still have plenty of tread left, no issues.

    • Pretty decent tires for the price
Ordered 4 tires, all shipped separately and arrived different days. Overall tires seem pretty good. Very low road noise. Can only hear them when I let off the gas pedal with the windows down.

I love them. They look great, no noise, and tiny noticeable vibration if you’re specifically looking for it. I also added 2inch spacers that really made the tires pop (not literally) :)
