Upon filling up the water bladder and trying the pack on, I felt instant comfort. The side waist panels wrapped around my body and didn't feel like they were cutting into my sides, unlike the typical fastening belts seen on other packs which do just that and make hiking uncomfortable. The back panel is very breathable and allows one's shoulders and neck to move freely and stretch out. The magnetic strip attached to the water bladder works very well and moves the drinking hose out of the way. The capacity of this backpack was the main feature I was looking at. I used to use those gigantic 15 L packs and began wondering why I used them. I wanted a pack that stored my wallet, keys, lip balm, and other essentials, and this pack did just that. Not too large but not too small either for day hikes—just right. The only criticism I have about this pack is the water bladder. It is definitely not the prime feature of this pack, as it feels cheap and is difficult to clean/dry. I replaced it with a Gregory 2.0 L water bladder and transferred the magnetic strip to the hose of the new bladder. Overall, I'd say this is the best water pack I've had—Camelbak, Osprey, Deuter, and Kelty don't offer this level of good design. ... show more

Great bag! As a woman having a bag that molds to you and stays put without bothering your chest is a winner. I'm big chested and find non women specific bags to be uncomfortable. This with the magnet thT holds your tube down is a winner. Only problem is getting it back if it slips off though and the magnet will break if it bends so becareful. All in all this js a great hydration bag for nearly an entire day out. You can even fit some additional bottles with fuel in there along with your emergency tire supplies. The waist pockets for your phone and essentials are easy to reach as well. Love the color too! ... show more

Let me begin by saying that I have never been a fan of hydration packs. All of the brands I have previously used from Camelback, Nathen, Fox, Osprey etc.. always felt heavy and unbalanced and why I avoided using them but recently I was forced to ditch my seat bag to carry my spares and tools for my mountain bike because my new bike came with a dropper seatpost. Having read some good initial reviews of the Thule Vital I decided to give it a try and to my surprise this hydration pack was really awesome. The split bladder keeps the water from sloshing around so the pack feels stable on your back and its low center of gravity makes it really comfortable even on longer rides. It was so comfortable in fact that I had to reach up a couple of times and check that it was still on my body because it felt like it wasn’t there at all! Their “ReTrakt” magnetic hose system is really cool and makes it easy to find when on the trail and the side pocket placement is at the perfect location to easily reach your arm back for your nutrition needs. Like all of Thule’s products the quality is great, so if you are a trail rider just having fun or a racer looking for lightweight feel and comfort this I highly recommend this product. ... show more

I love the features and the way it looks. I loved everything about it. Sadly, they packed it so tight in the box it bent the hose so that the water couldn’t pass freely. Had to return.

    • Great long range hydration pack best in class
I agonised a but choosing my nest hydration pack because there’s such a variation in prices. I’m very happy with this Thule so far. Been out about 50miles with this on my back and it’s been a comfort snug fit. The bladder seems fully attached to the tubing so don’t expect to be able to remove it but washing it out while it’s attached isn’t that cumbersome. The mouthpiece and magnetic clip have so far been perfectly seedless in function. I barely notice it’s there now after taking a swig it just snaps back. The external Most clip wrap isn’t adjustable so you might need to secure anything small you bundle in there. I’ve used it with my ultralight rain jacket and it’s held firm. Great addition of extra clips for added fastening options!! ... show more
