This setup has significantly enhanced my racing game experience, offering realism and precision that I hadn't encountered with other wheels. The HYBRID DRIVE system is a standout feature. It provides dynamic force feedback that realistically simulates the resistance and sensations of driving a real car. Whether I'm skidding around a tight corner or feeling the impact of uneven terrain, the feedback is incredibly immersive, adding depth to my gaming sessions. The build quality of both the wheel and pedals is top-notch. They feel sturdy and durable, capable of withstanding intense gaming sessions without showing any signs of wear. The wheel's grip is comfortable for long periods, which is crucial for endurance races. Magnetic paddle shifters are a game-changer. They provide that satisfying click with each shift, and their responsiveness is spot-on, allowing for quick and accurate gear changes. The difference in performance compared to standard shifters is night and day. The pedals are equally impressive. The magnetic mechanism gives them a realistic feel, especially when it comes to progressive resistance on the brake pedal. The thrustmaster t248 wheel is a great entry level wheel for anyone getting into sim racing/sim drifting. Just please be aware that it uses a hybrid motor compared to something like a dual belt motor from the t300 RS GT or something like a direct drive system from Moza racing. But for the value this is still pretty decent

At first I regretted buying it. The default settings for Horizon 5 were abysmal. It made every car undrivable. I went to sleep thinking it was all a mistake, but after some quick research the next day, I changed the settings within the game and wow!!! What a difference! The force feedback on this wheel is quite something. It truly needs to be experienced to understand how immersive it makes racing games feel. It feels very accurate to whatever terrain you're driving on and to whatever objects I'm hitting or crashing into. However, if you are about to hit a car head on, you will feel it before it happens (millisecond) which is a little strange The feedback also changes depending on the vehicle I'm driving. The LCD display on the wheel can be customized to display whatever you like. I prefer RPMs which will blink when it is time to shift. I find this to be the most useful reading for racing about. The paddle shifters are necessary for emersion. They have a nice tactile click that some reviewers complain as loud. I have the surround sound blasting, so the entire experience is already loud. I don't mind it. The shifts are fast and precise. The pedals feel nice and have an appropriate amount of feedback and response to pressure. The brake pedal seems a little on the stiff side, but you get used to it. I do believe the spring in the brake pedal can be changed. If you're thinking about buying this, do it. This completely changes the experience of racing games for me. I can ever go back to a controller ever again.
