Unfortunately, our soil is pretty hard and rocky, so I could not pound these as deep as I wanted, but it seems to be keeping our dogs from trying to dig out. The interconnect is somewhat non-standard in that you have clips to apply (instead of interlocking pins and lops) and the added catch-all of zip-ties. It's working OK, but it wasn't easy getting it installed.

I didn't realize that these don't interlock like others styles of fence barriers I have tried. These will work for my needs because I am simply using them to block off gaps at the very bottom of my privacy fence. There are lots of gaps at the very bottom of the fence where rabbits can get through (as well as our cats) so I wanted to get something to avoid that issue altogether.

Recommended if you need only 10 feet of fencing. Other similar products have volume discounts. Hopefully this vendor will do the same at some future point. The fencing looks like it will hold up well, though a season of use will be required to verify. This brand has long outer "legs" and shorter interior "legs" - the design works, but leaves the fencing dependent on only the outer "legs" to achieve a height of roughly 14 inches, or requires giving up some of that height to sink the inner "legs" into the ground. Other brands have "legs" which are all the same length, so produce a somewhat sturdier fence at a 14-inch height. This "weakness" contributes to a 4-star review instead of a 5-star review, and should be considered if the fencing is to be used to block animals from tunneling under a particular area. For my planned use - to keep overzealous weed whacking away from trees and flowers - this fencing should work nicely.

I use this around a large garden in my fenced-in yard guarded by my labs...so I don't need protection too much from critters. This fence looks great and is very easy to install, I use the clips as I think they look better than the zip ties. It looks so much better than the chicken wire fence I had around it before. That being said...this will not stop any animal. My dogs step right over it and I witnessed a bunny jump it on my security camera. It may stop a very small dog but that's about it. Don't buy this to protect plants but it is really beautiful as an accent piece.

Okay, I got these out of necessity, and I will be honest in that I didn't think they looked all that attractive. Attractive or not the work really well and that makes look not so bad after all. I have a small round garden bed that the chicken kept digging in to find bugs but the problem was they were scratching out all my mulch and the garden bed would dry out very quickly and worse yet they were digging into the soil uncovering the roots of the plants init killing them. I needed a little fencing to keep the chickens out, I know this isn't very tall and they can go right over it but they have not done so in other gardens where I have installed similar height though more ornamental metal fencing. What I like about these panels is that each section is only 12 inches wide so for a round bed they are short enough that they make enough of the curve to work. Other fencing panels I have gotten in the past have been anywhere from 18 to 24 inches wide, great for rectangular/square beds, but not so great it you want to make a gradual curve. The other thing that makes these fence panels great is that if you push them deep enough you get a barrier below the surface. This makes a difference to me because one year I found a rabbit warren with tiny babies in it in this same garden bed and I wanted to keep the rabbits from nesting in there again and they can/will dig under things to get in and out, so these Thrivinest will definitely go a long way to deterring the rabbits. These are also a decent value getting ten feet worth for fifty five bucks free shipping. Will be buying more for other garden beds!

This ten pack of garden fence/barriers work well for keeping pets away from danger areas or digging under fences. They are super simple to install by just pressing the spikes into the ground. They are durable and sturdy. Of note- they are not super high. Will only protect areas where dogs cannot jump over them.
