The anti-snake guards seem to have multiple layers of protection. They are quick and easy to put on and don't interfere with hiking at all. Instead of having to carefully look for snakes where you place each foot, now you can simply move around as desired. They greatly relieve the stress of going through thick areas where you can't always see what lurks where. Also, they have front velcro pockets that are the perfect size for your 10-count racks of 30-30 Winchester ammo! Since you have 2 shin guards, you can carry 20 extra rounds of 30-30 without taking up any of your ordinary ammo locations. Of course, your ammo in those front shin guard pockets provides some minor additional protection from snake bites, as well. After hiking and hunting repeatedly in copperhead and rattlesnake territory, I can't see going without these foot/ankle/shin guards again. Full front and back coverage. Double overlapped. Full mobility. Some sort of Lexan type of internal liner inside thick canvas guards. And front shin pockets! I don't see why anyone would pay more for a different brand. They look nice, if that matters. Feel fine in heavy use. No problem. They expect you to be wearing steel-toed boots, so the coverage stops at your toes. Maybe don't go hunting in flip-flops.

These are the best leg guards I have ever used. They protect my legs from rock impacts while trimming far better than anything I have had in the past. Are they snake proof?? I dont know, but from using them I would think unless you are facing off aginst a giant piranihaconda or some other such nonesense they would be exceptional. If you have snakes big enough to bite through the 360 re-enforced coverage these offer then you have some major issues and need to move somewhere else, or buy some plate mail leggings.

Fits nice and tight, and it feels comfortable. I forget that I have it on. I am 5ft 8in and feel like it would be nice if it was a little longer. I use it every time I weedwack.

They should fit anyone. The comfort and ease of on and off with extra carry pockets on each shin guard is nice use of dead space. With having these over boots rockier terrain is easier to travers. Would I recommend these yes I would. Would I say you get the protection of the real snake boots no but the stress off the ankles to be able to walk further with less fatigue.

These defiantly aren’t boots but they do their job super well. I went walking in the long uncut backyard of my home to see if I could entice some snakes to get some dinner. Although I didn’t have an incident my legs have never felt safer in the snake ingested yard. I feel like I had do all the yard work I need to without having to worry about a little snack having a snack on me. It’s heavy, tough, and pretty easy it get on. A great investment if you have a snake problem!
