  • high-quality, award-winning STEM puzzle game
The ThinkFun Gravity Maze is a highly regarded STEM logic puzzle game that combines a marble run with spatial reasoning challenges. Players use transparent towers and a game grid to build a 3D path that guides a marble from a start point to a target tower, solving increasingly difficult puzzle cards along the way. The biggest strength of this game is its strong educational value disguised as play. It builds important skills like critical thinking, spatial reasoning, planning, and problem-solving, making it a true “learning-through-play” toy. It’s especially popular with parents and educators because it feels like a game but functions like a brain-training exercise. Another highlight is the progressive challenge system. With around 60 puzzle cards ranging from beginner to expert, the game grows with the child and stays engaging over time. Each puzzle typically has only one correct solution, encouraging trial-and-error thinking and persistence. In real use, kids often enjoy the hands-on, interactive build-and-test process. The moment of dropping the marble to see if the design works adds excitement and instant feedback, which keeps them motivated. It’s also a great solo activity, though it can be fun to solve together as a family or classroom challenge. On the downside, it can be challenging for younger kids (under ~8) without help, and some puzzles may feel frustrating at first. It also requires patience and focus, so it’s not a fast-paced or casual game. Once children learn the patterns, some later puzzles may feel easier or repetitive for advanced players. Overall, this is a high-quality, award-winning STEM puzzle game—ideal for kids who enjoy building, problem-solving, and hands-on challenges. It’s especially strong as a screen-free educational toy that keeps kids thinking while still feeling like play. ... show more

  • Great hands-on logic game for kids and adults
This has been a great activity/game for a wide range of ages (definitely elementary age and up). It really encourages critical thinking, problem solving, patience, and frustration tolerance in a fun hands-on way instead of feeling like “school work.” Some of the challenges are surprisingly difficult — it even stumped a few grown adults in our house, so I’m glad the answers are included on the back of the cards! There are so many different challenge combinations that it doesn’t get old quickly. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys puzzles, building activities, or hands-on brain challenges. Worth every penny! ... show more

  • Great gift, easy to play for brain activity
The kids loved it! The puzzles are fun for them to figure out - could keep them occupied for hours. Probably 10 years old to be interested. 8 years old may be too challenging for the puzzle aspect of it — probably better as just a free play. Would definitely gift again.

  • Fun STEM Game with Good Quality, But Puzzles Are Easy
The ThinkFun Gravity Maze is a well-made STEM toy that combines logic and fun. The plastic quality seems good and feels durable enough for repeated use. Setup is simple, and the game is visually appealing, making it a great choice for kids who enjoy hands-on puzzles. However, the puzzles were not very challenging for my 9-year-old boy—he solved most of them quickly. While this makes it great for beginners, older kids or those who love complex challenges might find it too easy. Pros: Good plastic quality and sturdy build Engaging STEM concept for kids Easy to set up and play Great for introducing logic-based puzzles Cons: Puzzles may be too easy for older or advanced kids Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a fun, educational game for younger kids or beginners, Gravity Maze is a solid choice. Just keep in mind that the difficulty level may not satisfy more advanced puzzle solvers. ... show more

  • Quality & Unique
Cool game. Better than playing with the old school marble games where there are gazillions of plastic parts to lose, or that don't click together correctly. The cards also have good prompts to get kids started. Reading over the directions helps with getting blocks oriented properly.

  • A Fun Brain Teaser That Actually Keeps Kids Thinking
I bought Gravity Maze for my 8-year-old twin daughters, and it's been one of the most engaging STEM toys we've brought into the house. They love figuring out each challenge and then watching the marble successfully make its way through the towers. It starts off easy enough to build confidence but quickly becomes more challenging, which keeps them interested instead of getting bored after a few minutes. As a parent, I appreciate that it's a screen-free activity that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and patience. The pieces are well made, the challenge cards are clear, and it's a game they can enjoy on their own or work through together. If you're looking for an educational toy that's genuinely fun and keeps kids' minds active, this is an excellent choice and one I'd highly recommend. ... show more

  • Review for ThinkFun Gravity Maze Marble Run Brain Game
I bought the ThinkFun Gravity Maze for my 10-year-old son, and it’s been a total hit! From the moment we opened the box, he was completely engaged. The game is beautifully designed with high-quality pieces that are sturdy and vibrant, making it a joy to play with. What I love most about this game is how it combines fun with learning. It’s a fantastic STEM toy that challenges kids to think critically and problem-solve as they work through increasingly complex challenges. My son spent hours playing with it, and I could see his excitement every time he figured out how to guide the marble through the maze. It’s incredibly satisfying to see him using his logic and spatial reasoning skills in such an entertaining way. Another great aspect is its versatility. It’s designed for kids aged 8 and up, but even adults can enjoy the puzzles. It’s the perfect balance of challenging and rewarding, keeping him engaged without feeling frustrated. I highly recommend the ThinkFun Gravity Maze to parents looking for a screen-free activity that promotes learning and creativity. It’s a great investment for family fun, and I can already tell it will be a favorite in our house for a long time! ... show more

  • Not a Fan
Tho it looks durable and fun, my 7 yrs old grandson did not like it. It was difficult and confusing for him to play alone.
