This backpack is almost identical to the older version. I love my older StreetWalker but it was well-used and needed to be replaced. It’s such a great bag, I just upgraded to this one. However, if you can get a significant deal on the first model, have the older model already, or don’t need the new iPad pocket introduced in this model, you probably won’t notice much of a difference in the two models (V1 and V2.0). The dimensions are slightly different (v 2.0 is a little thicker and taller) which is the most significant change I can tell between the two. Both models are well worth the money. SUPPLEMENTAL, Jan 2023: After years of use, this is still my favorite bag. It works as well as it did the day I bought it, (and this bag has been through hell)! After having this bag for as long as I have now, I would definitely recommend the newer model (version two), because it is just slightly taller and so it will fit an actual medium to large tripod (if you break it down). My first bag was about 2 cm too short for the zipper to zip all the way, but the newer version zips up perfectly. They also reversed the paneling so you can actually fit your camera body inside the bag much easier than the first model. The above were the only issues I had with the first model, so I can say with confidence now that this is a perfect camera bag for my needs. Highly recommend. ... show more

It is clear why this product is rather expensive. I can see the great engineering that went into the design. And the quality of fabrication and materials couldn't be higher. For conventional still photographers, I would give this 5 stars. However, I am both a still photographer who also does video with a dedicated camcorder. Both of these cameras do fit but the problem for me is that the dividers do not have loop material on the flat sides making it much less versitile. The dividers do have hook material at the edges but no way to connect two of them together. You can't really build an interior if you take one of the principal long dividers out which does have the loop material. You are now faced with no way to divide up the remaining space. Thankfully, I have Tamrac bags which do have dividers with loops on the flat sides, so, I borrowed several and made everything fit nicely. If only Think Tank would place loop material on the flat sides of their dividers, this bag would be ideal for people who have both still camera and camcorder requiring custom space to be built from the dividers. ... show more

Over the years, I have bought 5-6 camera bags and haven't liked any of them. The ThinkTank Pro Streetwalker was recommended by Scott Kelby. After watching the company's video which compares versions of this series, I ordered the smaller version. I am an amateur photographer with nice equipment. I am also old and don't want to be burdened. This bag is perfect. It easily is configurable to hold my main camera and five total lens - plus batteries, etc. This is a photographer's bag designed by people who know what they are doing. Great job! ... show more

When I'm traveling, multiple opportunities can arise that require a different camera and lens and I was tired of packing multiple bags with my gear. In this bag, I can carry my Canon 7D II with a Tamron 150-600 attached and still fit my Canon 6D, Canon 70-200 2.8L, Canon 24mm 1.4L, and my Sigma 50mm Art lens. The handle is very sturdy and smooth and the wheels glide over the ground easily. I have not used the shoulder straps and hope I don't need to so I cannot speak for how comfortable it is on the back. However, I'm glad I have them if needed. I wish I had bought this before my trip out West last fall. I have several Think Tank bags and accessories and would definitely recommend any of their products. ... show more

I have four other Think Tank bags-each for a different reason and each is able to carry a lot of gear-sometimes at over 40 lbs. They are the best bags for what they do-getting a lot of gear in and out of airports, shuffling to locations shoots, and things like that, but the Streetwalker (not fond of the name) is perfect for smaller shoots and remaining light. I carry a Canon 1DX Mark 2 with a 70-200 attached, up to 2 more lenses, a speed light, extra batteries, and a light meter. I can mix it up and carry a 2nd non-gripped body if need be or take out unneeded lenses to lighten the load. Still very light compared to the larger packs I have. This is the best all-around travel pack I have. Highly recommended and I trust all of my gear to Think Tank. ... show more

I purchased this bag and the International bag with the idea of choosing one. ThinkTank bags are of great quality and this bag does not deviate from that. However, the International bag won out for 1 reason. The padded pocket on the rear of the bag that holds the backpack straps neatly in place bulges out creating an extra 1.25" of height. Having had issues on commercial flights in the past (where I would turn my bag sideways and place into an overhead bin with the depth of the bag vertical) where a bag with an extra 1" of depth would not fit . . . . The set up of this wonderful bag makes it easy to have my two cameras in addition to a 150-600 lens and a 24-300 lens with all the accompanying items anyone can think of bringing. I love that it has wheels so I can take it with me without killing my back but that I can also put it on my back for those times that I need to do so. It is sturdy and constructed well. In full disclosure, it will be getting it's first real test this next week when I use it to safely transport my gear to Africa for a variety of wonderful photographic opportunities.
