    • Good, but a few things aren’t.

When I saw this PSU I immediately fell in love with it, especially at its price point. All was good until I put a more power hungry GPU in the system. I noticed a noise. I thought it was the GPU at first, but quickly realized it couldn’t be after hearing the noise when the GPU fans weren’t spinning. I eventually traced it back to the PSU. While this fan won’t be the end of me, especially since I use a headset, it will bug me every now and then. The RGB ring should be more customizable if you ask me. There is one last thing that bugs me, the cables. They didn’t bother me until I changed the color scheme of the build. I had a red and black theme, but once I went for a black and RGB theme, the cables were clashing hard. TLDR: The fan is loud, the RGB isn't very customizable, and the cable connectors are red. Overall I do like the PSU, but if they were to revise it, they do have a few things to do ... show more

It's a nice unit for the money but when connecting to my new PC I found the PCIe and CPU cables were too short to work with in my atx Mid-Tower build. I had to do some REALLY creative cable management and still came up nearly 8 inches short. I had some old cablemod extensions that did the trick, but be warned. If your going to route your power cables behind the back panel you will need longer power cables for Mid-Tower and full tower builds. Also fully sleeved or some cable combs wouldbteallyake this unit stand out and look a little more professional ... show more

The shipping for this psu was delayed and then shipped a week later. When I first opened it, the silica gel packet inside was broken open and they were all inside the psu. I managed to get them all out and build my whole pc. When I turned it on, nothing happened. The psu was broken and even the rgb wasn’t working when I turned it on. Overall, I think this was just the shipping’s fault but I would still recommend to get another psu. At least this has 7 year warranty. Edit: I sent the psu back to Amazon and got a new one which was in fully new packaging and worked perfectly. The thermaltake waranty would take longer to get the psu back to me so Amazon was the better option. Original 1 star, edit 5 star. ... show more

Ran my 5900x and 3070ti pretty well for the first few months. Then the computer started rebooting every 5 minutes or so. Took the computer apart and ran the GPU off 2 8 pin rails instead of 1. Still rebooting. Replaced it with a 1000W from another company.
