Description

Pacific W9 is constructed with a crystal clear acrylic top and copper base to show its quality and elegant design. The specialized plating technique of the copper base accelerates heat dissipation and extends the product's durability. Pacific W9 also features a central inlet design with a jet plate in the middle of the water block, restricting the water flow for even coolant distribution through the optimized 0.2 mm micro-channels. By doing so, the copper plate can easily transfer heat from the CPU into the coolant, ensuring even better heat dissipation. By selecting the Pacific W9 CPU water block, you will get early access to our very first liquid metal thermal grease—TG-60. Pacific W9 CPU Water Block is compatible with the latest Intel LGA 1700 and AMD AM5 sockets. Users are able to stay in the latest trend and won’t require additional brackets. •P/N: CL-W348-CU00TR-A •DIMENSIONS: 90 L 90 W 29 H mm •COMPATIBILITY: Intel:LGA 2066/20113/2011/1700/1200/1156/1155/1151/1150, AMD:AM5/AM4/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2/FM2/FM1 (CPU Socket) •THREADS: G ¼” •HEATSINK MATERIAL: Copper + PMMA

  • Impressive
Size: W8
I bought block this for use with an AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, which is an absolute heat monster under heavy load, and its worked very nicely so far. Using this block with a 360 radiator setup and "be quiet! DC2 Pro" TIM, and the 5950X thermals are very well controlled even with a mild overclock. The design and material of the block are excellent, and the machine work is top-notch. The mounting system and included hardware for AMD is very straight-forward and totally solid. ... show more

  • Keep track of specific controller
Size: W7
These are really pretty -- really pretty. I only put the Quad fans in the front initially because I didn't know how nice they would be vs. cost.... now, I will probably replace some of the other Plus fans over time. I can't hear these at all and physical install is super easy. Once you figure out the controller configuration and connections, the software (v2.1) works very well. The only issue is that the controllers and software are very temperamental. I have a lot of Thermaltake parts (fans, water blocks, pumps and temp/flow monitor). As parts arrived, the "controllers" looked identical... they aren't :). Only certain items can be controlled from specific controllers. I haven't identified the exact cause, but two of the controllers stopped working completely (parts still work great, but no matter how / what I connect, they don't get an led signal). I can't get Support to send me (or even let me buy) controllers. I've been approved to "order" them from the technical team, but denied on trying to place a request twice. Still chasing this, but I hope to just be able to buy these outright at some point. The ability to update firmware would add another "star" to my review. Technical Support IS awesome and they respond almost immediately -- they helped identify cause / resolution for some of the controllers. Some controllers would only come up on certain dip switch configurations - but this is all resolved now that I have the right parts on the right controllers, and BIOS / OS options configured to turn off power saver for USB, verify address settings, they recommend the W7 water block be at the front of the controllers, etc. Very few companies have tech support this responsive and knowledgeable about their products. I accept some of the blame here -- keep track of which controllers go with which parts - the controllers look identical, but they definitely have different progressions of firmware and maybe even capacitors based on what they are communicating with. ... show more

  • Good thermals but controller is low quality
Size: W7
So far on day 1 the cpu thermals are great <27.7C while under minimal load. LEDs are nice. CPU block build quality is nice. However, the led controller is low quality. The cables for the controller keep disconnecting whenever I slightly adjust the controller position. The controller itself feels like cheap plastic. Additionally, the controller software is just another pc controller app to install that I really didn't want to. The software itself is OK, but not something I'd write home about when compared to evga & corsair. ... show more

  • Everything You Need, Right Down to the Thermal "Paste"
Size: W9
I loved the completeness of this package. Besides the clamps needed for both Intel and AMD CPUs, plus complete instructions, there was an interesting thermal transfer solution. It looked like a ball of mercury when applied to the CPU and I was concerned I'd be able to spread it evenly. I've installed coolers and water blocks many times, but never encountered this type of thermal compound. I found it was easy to spread out with a Q-tip, resulting in a super level bed for the water block. After completing the build and checking temps, I was pleased to see them almost 10 degrees cooler than with my 4 year old CPU and cooler. UPDATE: After 8-10 days, it developed a leak around the joint between the front plate and center section. Ordered a replacement and will return this one. Good think I checked for leaks when I did, as they weren't there after the first few days and I wouldn't normally look after the first few days of use. Glad I caught it before coolant leaked into the graphics card slot. And happy too there was a heat sink over the M2 card just below the CPU as it caught the dribble headed for the PCI slot. ... show more

  • Both water blocks were missing the hardware for AM5
Size: W7
Looked on thermaltake's website for this water block. They state it supports AM5. Found the same part number here on amazon for quicker shipping. Arrives and i notice the instructions dont mention AM5 mounting at all. Couldnt figure it out. Maybe i just got one from an old batch right? So i go direct to thermaltake's website and order another one. Arrives. Same thing. Instructions mention nothing about AM5. Go back onto the website and download the user manual. Then i found AM5 instructions. But! Turns out i need a second set of screws. The instructions say they are silver in a bag labled "R". Go back and look through both kits and there wasnt any supplied. Contacted their customer support. Its been 24 hours and all i got was an automated message saying they received my message. Edit: They got back to me evenutally. Told me id have to submit an rma. At which point i had already looked at the original am5 screws and thought that they looked familar. Turns out they are regular machine screws available at any hardware store. I happen to already have some in the garage. I used them with some copper washers so they looked decorative. Second issue: the controllers dont work properly. All of my controllers i got wont automatically sync with the program on start up. The program just says it couldnt find the controller. In device manager it shows a device that failed to start. I either have to restart many times or disable and enable the device for it to work again. Almost every other start up. When this happens you also lose fan speed control. ... show more
