  • Incredible
Style: PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 SE V2
One of the best air coolers I've owned. The metal hooks that attach the fans to the heatsink are quite easy and it keeps the temperatures low. I have yet to notice the noise so it is fairly quiet. Really great cooler for the price.

  • Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB White V2 CPU Air Cooler
Style: PA120SE ARGB White V2
I bought the Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB White V2 for my new white-themed PC build with an Intel Core Ultra 2 processor, and as always, Thermalright’s coolers are a cut above. The white finish is sleek and matches my build perfectly, adding a clean, stylish vibe. The six heat pipes with AGHP GEN 5.0 technology keep my Core Ultra 2 nice and cool, even during intense gaming sessions and multitasking. The dual 120mm PWM fans (up to 1850RPM) deliver strong airflow while staying surprisingly quiet. The ARGB lighting looks great and syncs seamlessly with my setup. Installation was a breeze on my Intel 1851 socket, with clear instructions and solid mounting hardware (it also supports AMD AM4/AM5). The cooler’s build quality is top-tier, and for the price, it’s an absolute steal. This is why I always go back to Thermalright—reliable performance and great aesthetics. 5 stars for now, and I’ll update if anything changes with extended use. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Peerless Assassin 120 V2 is overkill!
Style: PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 SE V2
Fitted this CPU cooler yesterday on an aging MSI Codex Tower Case. The installing can be challenging due to fitting the 2nd fan north of the air vents and system heatsink. Ram clearance is a few centimeters on top of the first stick, but everything fits properly. I have no issues so far and it cools off the i5 13400F under 33-38c while on turbo boost at 4.0-4.5 GHz. As the title states OVERKILL. Will consider using this for the i9 14900f cpu in the future. The price lives up to its superior value over premium coolers. Get this if you're an Intel customer who isn't buying K versions. Recommend this to MSI PRO z790 P Wifi DD4 motherboard owners! Update: I want to clear something up about the size, it's a large tower cooler, but fits well on cases with 195 x 500 x 455mm. The size isn't that bad. ... show more

  • Massive Cooler, gets the job done. Can whine at higher RPMS
Style: PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 SE V2
This is a great CPU cooler keeps the CPU cool at a low RPM. Most of the time it’s dead silent, but as the RPM increases there’s a noticeable resonance that sounds a bit like a whine. The other issue I have is that it completely covers the RAM slots, so having to take out/install RAM sticks is kind of a pain. Thirdly, it’s MASSIVE, so things are pretty cramped in my case right now, doing any bit of tinkering requires working around the cooler, which can be a hassle when the heat sink scratches you. Over all, it was decently easy to install, and gets the job done. So I’d give it a 4 star review, considering the whining can get a little annoying. ... show more

  • Works fantastic out of the box, but consider upgrading the fans if you want things quiet
Style: PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 SE V2
Outstanding value and fairly straightforward to install, just be careful you don't get into a fight with the radiator, the radiator will win haha. Also be mindful of routing cables to your motherboard ahead of time if your case is on the smaller side, as accessing the connection points may be difficult or impossible. It fit into my Coolermaster Q300L with about a quarter-inch of clearance, so unless you're in an ultra-small form factor case, you should be good to go. Will look good with any black, grey, or white build - I have a blacked-out build personally. The stock fans do a good job moving air but they can sound a bit like a blender under load - but that's an easy $20-$30 fix down the line to swap out a couple of Arctic P12 or Noctua NF-P12's. For what you get for only $40, it's an absolute steal. ... show more

  • Way better than my stock cooler!
Style: PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 SE V2
I was using the stock cooler in my computer for years without really noticing that it was running at 90°C+ degrees most of the time when I was playing games. When I started playing some of the new games in 2025 I installed Coretemp to monitor and was shocked to see that I was maxing out my temps at 100°C. I installed this tonight, and tested a few of my high CPU usage games and couldn't get it to go over 78°C, most of the time it was in the 60°C range. It was easy enough to install after watcting a few YouTube videos, had all the parts I needed, and plenty of thermal paste in the tube included for me to put almost too much (I probably put too much). Of note, it's too tall for my Dell G5 5000 case and I wont' be able to put the side panel back on fully (it sits in a corner, so I'll just kinda lean it on), so measure out your case first to make sure it's wide enough. All that being said, I'm happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • This Cut My CPU Temps In Half!
Style: PA120SE ARGB Black V2
My PC (Intel i7-11th gen) started overheating on a regular basis and would overheat to the point that it would auto-shutdown after 10 minutes in a graphics intensive game like RUST. I first tried cleaning my existing CPU cooler and fan and applying new thermal paste but it didn't solve the problems. Went down a rabbithole of AI suggestions and Youtube reviews. This did the ticket. My CPU now runs rust at almost 50 degrees (celcius!) lower temp. Down in the 20s when idling. Near 40-50 when doing the most intensive gaming. All for under $40? Value for money? CHECK Performance? CHECK Functionality? CHECK Noise Level? CHECK (no complaints. I never notice it.) Looks? CHECK (it faces toward my exhaust on the back of my PC, so I don't really see the LED fans directly, but the glow of colors coming from my CPU stack are still fun! BUY IT. ... show more

  • Great cpu cooler, especially for the price.
Style: PEERLESS ASSASSIN 120 SE V2
This works great for a mid-range build People who complain about the noise, probably need to adjust the fan curve speed in Bios? The V2 having fans that can spin faster, means it can get a little louder, but also gives it the ability to cool the cpu faster better when it is needed. I see this as an absolute benefit with no negative side. For a quieter experience, simply set your cpu fan curve to not be as aggressive, and to kick into full speed once you reach higher cpu temperatures. ... show more
