  • Excellent performance at a low cost, and beautiful...
Style: PA120 White ARGB
I was undecided about liquid or air cooling, but after looking at comparisons, I decided on air cooling. Of all the options, I liked this one: easy assembly, compatible with Intel and AMD, 6 heatpipes, two 12cm fans, controllable ARGB, and white. It keeps an i7-12700K below 70°C when working at full load. ... show more

  • Best Performance / Cost.
Style: PA120 White ARGB
I paired this with an i9-11900k & i5-10600k for two different systems & they both run ice cold. This air cooler really can't be beat for the price & ease of installation. The variety of the mount ability is great but Make sure to measure before hand because the size a bit big but if it measures, it fits. Fans fun cold & it's not too loud even under full speed. ... show more

  • Excellent Performance at an Unbeatable Price
Style: PA120
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 is an exceptional CPU cooler and a fantastic replacement for my old Noctua. When building my new PC, I reused my Noctua and needed an affordable yet reliable cooler for my older system—this exceeded all expectations. It keeps my power-hungry i9 cool and quiet during CAD/CAM work, handling demanding tasks with ease. The cooler is rock-solid and maintains excellent temperatures without any issues. At this price point, it’s hard to find a better balance of performance, build quality, and affordability. Highly recommend this cooler for anyone seeking reliable, high-performance cooling on a budget! ... show more

  • Best Budget Cooler Out There 💯❄️
Style: PA120
The Thermalright Peerless Assassin is a beast! Super easy to install, runs quiet, and keeps my CPU super cool even under load. Way better than I expected for the price — 100% recommend!

  • Great looks and fantastic cooling!
Style: PA120 Black
I've installed this cooler on my Intel i9-10980XE which inherently runs pretty warm. With a great PC case with lots of airflow, my CPU is idling around 40c which is not bad at all! Even under full load this keeps my CPU under 70c. The installation is very easy with the included instructions. All of the hardware needed to install was included for both AMD and Intel applications. The thermal paste was not good so I ended up using a different brand that I had on hand. Overall I have been very happy with this cooler and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great quality for the price. ... show more

  • So far so good!
Style: PA120 White
I've only been running this cooler for a few days, so I cannot speak to its durability/longevity. But it's an air cooler, so really the only part(s) I can see failing short-term are the fans which are easily replaceable. Many will want to replace them for RGB or noctua ones anyway. My rig consists of a 5900x (which loves to run hot) and 9070XT for 1440p gaming. I'd been using a 240mm AIO for a couple years beforehand, which recently failed, and this $40 cooler (so far) does a better job than the AIO. Opting for an all-air solution in my case just makes sense since I have five intake fans this new cooler can take full advantage of. I play a variety of games, and when my AIO couldn't keep temps below 80-85C under load, this cooler keeps temps between 65-70C. Doing light gaming and less-demanding tasks, this thing's even more chilly. I'm using the thermal paste and two 120mm fans it comes with, and both seem adequate. There have been some comments mentioning high-pitched or abnormally loud fan noise, but my unit has been extremely quiet. Even when fans ramp up, nothing sounds out of the ordinary. ... show more

  • Great but might need custom fan settings in BIOS
Style: PA120 White
When I first powered up my new Gigabyte motherboard with Ryzen 9700X I was disappointed with how loud the cooler fans were, even with the "silent" setting for the fan control. That was Gigabyte's fault. All of their fan control settings seem to be designed for an AIO cooler not air cooling, and trying to keep the CPU under 60 C even though it's fine running at 95 C 24/7. I needed to go to the custom fan profile and manually drag all the fan speed points to the right so the fans stay slow and quiet up to around 70 C, then only increasing as temps reach 75, 80, 85 which are all still safe. The fans now run quiet until CPU use hits 50% and are still quiet-ish even then. I can probably tweak it a bit more to be even more quiet. ... show more

  • Brrrrrr
Style: PA120 Black
As the title says, brrrrrrr. These fans go brrrr and so stays the CPU lol. I was a little intimidated by how huge this thing is, and never having setup a cpu fan as this was a first build for me. It was actually very easy, you can YouTube a video of this and there’s a video of a man putting this exact cooler together. Mounting was easy, and had plenty of space, assembly was really easy too. Everything worked exactly as it was supposed to after assembly. Only thing that you’ll need to know is you’re gonna want a longggg screwdriver to tighten this behemoth down, because you can’t do it at an angle at all. This isn’t a big deal though as Walmart has super long Phillips head and flat head for practically nothing. Now the final part, cooling. This thing works exactly as it should. I have my fans set in the bios for turbo, meaning it’ll run low/med and then crank up if really needed, and all I can say is that it never has needed to at all. Cpu is staying nice and cool consistently just as one would hope. I based my purchase on the other reviews who hyped it up, and I’m glad I listened to them because this is a fantastic bang for the buck cooler, and I would like to suggest this product to anyone out there looking too. ... show more
