We got this product because we have a lot of trouble with mosquitoes. There was a river nearby as well as a vernal pool making it impossible to sit out in the evenings. We were gifted one so gave it a try. It definitely works but it takes between 30 to 40 minutes for the full effect. We also found that the radius is accurate. I did purchase this with hesitation as nothing but Deet works for me, but I thought I would try it. I was surprised! It actually worked! I'm a magnet for mosquitoes and can be standing in a crowd where no one is getting bit but me. (178 bites on a day hike type of person.) Took it camping, started it (I got bit while turning it on!), and after about 10-15 minutes, no more mosquitoes!! I bought this for my daughter’s softball games because the mosquitoes are horrible at the games. I used this device this season, and it is the first season I haven’t been eaten alive my mosquitoes. Product works exactly like it is advertised to work.

Used this several times within 5ft radius for several hours and was still bitten up by mosquitoes. Maybe those mosquitoes were super mosquitoes, who knows. Emits a smell as expected. The length of time of actual use may be shorter than stated max since the product works off of heat, once the product is off it will continue to burn off until the replenent is completely cooled down. ... show more
