We are older and sitting on hard ground, rock, log or even metal chair or bleachers is miserable at our age. Our adult kids borrowed these and they loved them too. Santa might bring them their own! This pad worked great. It folds up small and is lightweight. Sat on it for hours in the cold and wet season of November. Backside stayed warm and dry. Exactly what we wanted for sitting in nature for hours.

Pros: more comfortable than you might think. Great for hard stadium benches, a tree stump, or just the ground. Very light and packable. Keeps your butt warm. More uses than just a sit pad. Can be used to block wind, fan a flame, act as a kneeling pad, or between your knees at night. Cons: too pricey. It's probably not worth $15 in material, but I can't find a similar quality pad anywhere, so it is what it is. Silver thermal covering started wearing off almost immediately. Turned to a dark grey within 2 days of moderate use. I can't tell if it's effected the warmth factor or not because it was on for such a short time. I have concerns about the longevity of the pad as it seems to be flattening out. ... show more

I take my Z Seat with me on hikes so I have a dry and comfortable place to sit when I stop to eat. It's amazing how something so simple can bring you so much happiness. It's lightweight, so you don't even notice it in your pack. It folds up so it's long and skinny, which makes it easy to stow. This little cushion is such a relief during hiking breaks. Large enough to protect my tush from the rocks and other stuff, small enough to not add weight to my pack. I am not kind to my hiking gear and it is holding up well after a summer of use.
