Using this mostly for grandkids' basketball games. Finally, I can tolerate the games without a bad back. Not fun for an almost 65-year-old with back problems. Got a pink one for my wife and green for me. They should all be the same regardless of color. I was concerned that not having an extremely wide seat or back would be a problem, but kept reading reviews of others describing the feeling while carrying those others that they were resembling the "Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles" (TMNT) , and physically seeing people carry those huge chairs on their backs, in crowds, and having to turn sideways to walk at points, leaned me towards these. Boy I'm glad I did. So lightweight! And so easy and quick to close and open. I hadn't realized how much that would be a help. In the kids' basketball games we generally arrive while there is a game still ongoing, and all the good seats are taken. Most of the folks with TMNT chairs just stand around waiting for the game to conclude since their chairs are so much larger and more problematic to take off their back, unfold, and position (and latch if need be). In my case my wife and I can sit in the available, bad seats, take the two chairs (which are easy to transport distances via the wide and sturdy carry strap, and are almost as easy to transport just using the built in handle that is weight balanced perfectly) and unfold the in one movement, then pull down the webbing that drops in front and provides the cupholder/walletholder and temporarily sit while the game finishes. Then once the families depart we can do one fold action for each chair, pick it up, and move to the better seats before the parents with the TMNT chairs can get to these seats. Once seated, these cushions, which I worried about being too small to support our gravitationally-challenged hind ends are fine. Not sure how as I think the seats are slightly smaller than the hind quarters, and I would think we would feel our backsides "overlapping" the cushions, but the seat cushions are quite thick and there is no such problem. No Im not saying that these chairs are great for those who are extremely "challenged", but neither my wife or I are skinny and they are more than fine. I am 5'9" and 200 lbs recently gaining about 25 pounds (probably due to munching on snacks at grandkids basketball games) and have no issue. I really think the way these are built that if I ever DID find this chair insufficient I would rather buy another of these, and carry one on my shoulder and one in my hand than do the TMNT thing. There are very small/thin, but sufficient stabilizer bars/hooks/connectors on the bottom of the chairs that can fold out and affix the chair to the seat structure you are sitting on. We have yet to need them. I understand you "should" do this to keep from falling over, but having used these chairs extensively I do not see how anyone even "could" fall over even without their use. Great for sitting at powerlifting events. Comfortable enough for lower back and sciatica nerve issues. Sitting on hard chairs or bleachers worsened the problem, and this chair was necessary! It has a thick enough pad that's firm. The one bleacher type was too thick to work with the hooks on this chair. Just be careful not to move the chair, but I had no issues. It is also very sturdy and easy to hold, and you can put things in the pockets. Seems well made. ... show more

I got this for my 85-year-old father who goes and sits in middle school gyms to watch my niece play volleyball and likes to have a support behind his back, but doesn’t have the balance or stability to securely walk up and down the bleachers without issue. With this, he’s able to sit in the first couple rows and still have his back support, so my mom and I don’t have to stress watching him try to climb the bleachers. He says it’s super comfortable with plenty of cushioning in the seat. The bleachers we usually sit in aren’t the metal or wood style that the metal support rods would work with unfortunately, so this seat just sits on top of the bleachers, but thanks to the nonslip coating on the bottom it stays plenty secure for him to be able to sit and put his weight against the back of the seat without it moving or tipping over. It seems very sturdy and we’re all super happy with it. He hasn’t used the drink holder feature yet, but I personally really like that feature and would use it often myself. I may have to come back and get myself one now because I’m a little jealous! ... show more

    • Game changer vs a metal bench

The latches to lock on the bench kept the seat very stable. The cushion and back made it so much more comfortable to sit, rather than sitting on a metal bench for four hours. Loved the storage space (next time I intend to bring some stuff in the chair) and it was easy to carry. Wasn’t sure I needed it but after one use, I wouldn’t want to be without it. ... show more
