  • Great products.

These pills have helped with my dry eye symptoms. They are easy to swallow and have a good price.

  • life changing for my dry eyes
Style: 90 Count
I’ve had dry eyes for 30+ years, diagnosed and confirmed- this is why I could not wear contacts. Been using artificial tears to help compensate, and also had some procedures done to help slow tear draining. But basically my eyes were irritated and tired most of the time. Tried restasis- that didn’t work. When I wanted to consider lasik the eye dr said my eyes were too dry, and suggested trying these pills to bump up tear production. I didn’t believe it could work, right up until it did. After a couple weeks he confirmed with a tear production test that my tear volume had improved substantially and I went ahead with the successful lasik procedure. After a few years I’m able to get by with just a single pill most days. With this pill I can go without drops for most of the day- vs before it was drops every few hours and a bottle in my pocket all the time. So I’d call this a substantial improvement in dryness- not a cure but reducing the impact by 80%. When I was taking 3 pills I would sometimes get some minor off flavor burping after a couple hours- but this was a minor observation not a real problem. May not work for everyone but for me these work great, been taking them for 20 years, can’t say enough good things about them. I have them on subscribe n save auto ship. If I inadvertently miss a pill my eyes will be dry and irritated by the end of the day- I can feel the difference. If you have dry eyes I highly recommend you try them or ask your eye doctor about them. They make a good bottle of artificial tears as well. ... show more

  • Crucial step towards getting relief from dry eye syndrome
Style: 90 Count
I had severe dry eye syndrome for over a year which I sought help from 2 different doctors and neither diagnosed me correctly nor mentioned how taking this product could help. Ever the skeptic nurse, I thought all the advertised claims were just hype until I started reading other Amazon user reviews and realized I needed to get some of this ASAP. Meibomian gland dysfunction and evaporative dry eye is something I'm telling other sufferers about because I know I am not the only one finding diagnosis and treatment confusing and contradictory. I'd been a soft contact lens wearer without any infections, ulcers or other issues since 1978. I thought I'd be wearing my glasses permanently after 6 months of being unable to tolerate my contacts for even a few minutes due to pain and the feeling there was a foreign body in my eye every time I blinked. My dark circles were much darker, the skin around my eyes was dryer and consequently looked older. Make-up was a real chore to put on. I was losing eyelashes and they didn't seem to be growing back as quickly. Within 2 weeks of taking 3 of these capsules every day, the burning, scratchy feeling was gone. After a month I was completely asymptomatic but because I hate taking pills, I slacked off a bit. The dryness and burning returned in less than 10 days so I quickly re-ordered and will never be without these again. This is a syndrome and as such, requires consistent attention. While the Thera Tears took care of the internal problem, there is an external component to getting this chronic problem under control. Both the upper and lower lashline contains oil glands that get clogged and stop functioning or just don't work very well due to menopause, medications, age or all of the above. So here's my recipe for keeping the misery of dry eye at bay. It's important to be vigilant because symptoms return pretty quickly if you don't stay on top of things. 1. Thera Tears Nutrition, 1200mg Omega-3 Supplement Capsules, 90-Count---every day no matter what 2. OCuSOFT Lid Scrub Plus, Pre-Moistened Pads, 30 Count another product I will not be without and am posting a review of those because you have to attack this externally as well. I tried the poor man's version first (tearless shampoo and cotton swabs) but it was inconvenient, messy, and very drying to my eyelids. 3. Elasto Gel Hot / Cold Sinus Mask soothing warmth feels so good, softens the oil glands in your eyelids 4. GenTeal Lubricant Eye Gel, Severe Dry Eye Relief, Extra Value, 2 Tubes (0.34 fl. oz): gives moisture back to dry eyes and feels especially good if used with #3 Bottom line is I lost time from work, this is what helped me after prescription eye drops and ointments failed. I can comfortably wear my contacts whenever I want to, there's been no reocurrence of styes and my eyes just look a lot better. ... show more

  • Towards the end of the bottle I started getting a fishy taste
Style: 90 Count
I was recommended these by my regular optometrist, due to my recent struggles with dry eyes and ongoing acne rosacea (which I have to take a daily low grade antibiotic to keep at bay). She was very confident that after a few months of taking these supplements, my dry eyes would improve and I would probably even be able to stop taking the antibiotic for my rosacea. However, I am disappointed with the longevity of these supplements. I double checked before I started typing, but the instructions do say to store at room temperature. I keep the bottle with all my other medications and supplements, and when it was down to about a weeks worth, I started experiencing fishy burps and a gross taste. I know this means the oil is going rancid, so I stopped taking them with the last week's worth still in the bottle. I'm pretty disappointed with this, because while these aren't the most expensive, they are still a monthly cost, so I'm bummed I don't even get to finish my bottle. I will order another bottle, but this time I will put them in the refrigerator to make sure that they last as long as they should. ... show more

  • A Comprehensive Eye Nutrient
Style: 180 Count
I've been taking these for a couple of years. It's got a good list of ingredients - all great for the eyes. Like my optometrist said, "The more ingredients, the better." This was the product he recommended. To find so many good and needed elements in a supplement at a good price is helpful since consistent use is beneficial. Highly recommend Thera Tears. ... show more
