I always love all of Fern Michaels books. She never disappoints me! I found it interesting to learn about how the government does its secret operations even if it's not completely true. I followed Melanie's life from early childhood to being an OSI agent. She had some close calls in her life and she wanted to retire. She found a job as a grade school counselor and was doing great until OSI called and asked her to do 4 more jobs for them. What happens next is the really exciting thing. If you like adventure then this will keep you turning pages well in the night. I would recommend it to everyone. ... show more

It kept my interest without causing anxiety. It is a decent filler while I wait for a few other books from series I've started to hit the shelves. I felt light after reading this . It's suspenseful enough to keep my attention but not to heavy on the heart strings.

Not to my liking. Long, drawn out story of the woman and her activities through her life. Interesting in parts, shared incites to her viewpoint on current society, depicted her day to day lifestyle, how she returned to espionage work, but in my opinion no real suspense action. It was a delight to mix a relaxing read with interesting characters and creative suspense. The main characters progression from childhood trauma to utilizing the process of building her life to be uniquely gifted and intellectually equipped to develop into an amazing character. It made me want a doo over in my own life.
