  • The Best Hunter/Survivor Game Out
I used to play Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th a lot when they were in their prime. I never liked it as much as my friends, but when you’re a kid you can’t just buy a new game. I got this to play with a buddy and I actually love it! I have no connection to the franchise. This game is genuinely a unique and intense version of the genre those games developed. ... show more

I'm impressed. The game is fun. Way better than Fridau the 13th and Dead by Daylight. I recommend 🙂

  • Not as good as Friday the 13th
Had great expectations for this game being a Friday the 13th game fan but this doesn’t even come close

  • Beware: Online Multiplayer Game Only! No Offline-Solo Play Like Most Games.
Perhaps I overlooked wherever it mentioned that this game can only be played online with multiplayer, but what a shame. I have no desire to get PSN as I've always been a solo-gamer since the early days of NES. Being one of the biggest Chain Saw fans out there, I was so excited to finally get this after all of the hype. Well I finally get it in the mail, pop it in, hit play, and it lead me right to purchasing a subscription to PSN. Wtf? Nope. Returning for a refund. I feel Gun shot themselves in the foot with this move, but that's just me. ... show more

  • There are some issues, lots to be improved.
The game has some promising ideas and the mechanics are in definitive need of improvement. The red pulsating vision which is an indication of being in a state of heightened suspense, is visually debilitating and not in a good way. It will take over a majority of the match which leaves most of the missions open and useless as you are likely to spend a majority of your time running around instead of accomplishing anything. As I said, it and some decent ideas, but the camera being controlled by player instead of fixed forward when running also makes it just weird and awkward feeling. Some gamers may not mind these issues but for me and coming from Friday the 13th it just feels like a step backward not forward. Visually the game looks pretty good. But there is much to be improved ... show more

  • Very good game (Update Edited)
A very good game. Sorry a lot more reading but my review will get you into the knowledge of what you’re in for when you start playing for the first. It’s Soooooo much better than dead by daylight in many ways. So many ways to avoid the killers in this game. Just like any game, you’re not gonna win every match and you’re not going to always play who you want. Teamwork is strongly recommended. If you play survivor, stay with your teammate. If you lose sight of your teammate you are on your own. Many obstacles you can move through to slow the killers down. So many exits. Unlike dead by daylight you don’t go down in two hits but you have a health bar. If you let hit zero health you’re eligible to be executed. The game currently is very unbalanced player wise. Should have been 3vs 5. Or 3vs6 tbh. It doesn’t directly tell you what you need to do, but you can get lost if you don’t know where to go. Btw grandpa is the main killer, especially when you are the last one standing and exposes your location. You don’t have to worry about killers throwing stuff, teleporting/vaunishing in around the map to get an Advantage, getting absurd speed boosts to move faster than you. You can actually fight the enemy players back as long as you have a bone scrap on you. Always keep one on you, you never know when you need to stab stun a killer to get them off you temporarily and you can stab any killer including grandpa with a bone scrap something you can’t do in DBD. Another area id like to point out here is the stamina. You need to be very strategic with the stamina bar. This is where you either escape the killers or get mauled to execution. If you get chased by a killer don’t panic. If you strategize your stamina you can actually cause the player killer to exhaust their stamina causing them to have to jog instead of running but this only momentarily (3-5secs before their stamina refills) use that short time to shake them off or running thru vault areas or hauling tail to and threw an exit gate. Don’t leave yourself exhausted to where they catch up to you. Also don’t make a lot of noise. This is a strategy stealth game. So plan ahead and keep quiet. One last thing if you’re buying this and never played before. The chase is on from the start of the game with leatherface spawns in the basement with you (not in the same room as you) so don’t make a lot of noise cause if you do two things will happen: 1) you will wake grandpa up which will expose you and your teammates location if you don’t keep still and 2) you’ll give your location to the enemy player who is playing as leatherface as everyone who plays as him starts destroying vaults and obstacles that only survivors can move thru at the beginning of the game. Leatherface is also the only killer that can execute you right off the bat. The other two player killers spawn outside of the basement so if you make noise it’s going to take them time to get down to the basement. This game was made from the survivors point of view on how DBD should have been. There’s plenty more I could talk about but I believe this is enough to get you ready and started before you buy and play. Happy gaming! ... show more
