Description

In 2007, two talented Spanish filmmakers created a terrifying film that went on to spawn three sequels, an American remake and its sequel. In the first film, [REC], a TV reporter and her crew are asked to cover a crew of firemen on duty. What seems like a routine story about a night at the fire station soon turns into a nightmare. Trapped inside a quarantined building, the crew must try to survive the terror that rages inside. [REC] 2 picks up minutes after the end of [REC]. The authorities have lost contact with the people trapped inside the quarantined building and chaos reigns. A Special Operations Unit has been tasked with entering the premises…only to discover that this is anything but a straightforward mission. [REC] 3: Genesis leaves the confines of the quarantined building to follow the wedding of Koldo and Clara. Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride and groom are enjoying a wonderful day…until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness and unleash a torrent of violence. [REC] 4: Apocalypse returns focus to Ángela Vidal, the young reporter who has managed to make it out of the building alive. But she hasn't made it out of the building alone as she carries the seed of the strange infection. She is taken to a provisional quarantine facility: the perfect location for the virus to be reborn.Bonus Content:Disc 1 - [REC]:In Spanish with English Subtitles and English DubAudio Commentary with Writers/Directors Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza (in Spanish with English Subtitles)The Making of [REC] (40 Minutes)Crew Interviews (46 Minutes)Extended ScenesDeleted ScenesBehind the Scenes Footage (43 Minutes)TeaserTheatrical TrailersTV SpotsStill GalleryDisc 2 - [REC] 2:In Spanish with English SubtitlesAudio Commentary with Writers/Directors Jaume Balagueró and Paco Plaza (in Spanish with English Subtitles)The Making of [REC] 2: In an Affected World (118 Minutes)Behind the ScenesDeleted ScenesExtended ScenesA Walkthrough of the Set[REC] 2 on TourSitges Film Festival Press ConferenceTheatrical TrailersTV SpotsStill GalleryDisc 3 - [REC] 3: Genesis:In Spanish with English Subtitles[REC] 3: Genesis: Preparing a Bloody Wedding (117 Minutes)The Making of [REC] 3: GenesisDeleted ScenesOuttakesTheatrical TrailersTV SpotsStill Gallery Disc 4 - [REC] 4: Apocalypse:In Spanish with English SubtitlesThe Making of [REC] 4: ApocalypseTheatrical TrailersTV SpotStill Gallery]]>

  • My favorite first person pov film
Great!!!!!

  • Each installment is its own surprise!
This is one of the most dynamic franchises in horror and I hope people can give it the love it deserves. Each installment does its own thing while forming a highly coherent story arc across 4 films. Without spoiling anything specific, the 1st film presents as a haunted house/zombie film (like what many were expecting Resident Evil to be). The 2nd film is a direct continuation of that story but reframes the story in a completely different subgenre. The 4th film continues that story as an action/horror that builds suspense and provides all the action tropes you need. My favorite of this series is the 3rd. Why? Because it dares to go outside the story and do something completely different. Think Evil Dead 2 meets Return of the Living Dead 3. It delivers on every promise and then some. Overall, this box set it superb. If the films were not enough to convince you, the bevvy of Scream Factory special features should tip the scales for you. For horror fans, this box set has something for everyone. Enjoy! ... show more

  • One of the best horror movies from the 00's
If you're fan of the horror, the Rec saga is for you. The movies are in Spanish (they were filmed in Spain) but the acting of everyone involved helps you to overcome that thing (if watching content in other language than English is a problem for you). The chronological order is 3-1-2-4 and in my opinion the 4th is the weakest of the 4 movies but even with that is a good conclusion. The first 2 movies and part of the 3rd are filmed in a "found footage" format - Be careful if you get motion sick with this!!! ... show more

  • One of the best found footage
Rec movie series are some of the best found footage movies out there (yes, 3 and 4 are not really found footage). Still, 1 and 2 are great. Don't waist your time with the American version. Also, you can watch 1, 2, and 4 back to back to create one long movie.

  • Scary
A great collection of a great series. 3 and 4 lose the found footage aspect unfortunately but they're all still worth watching. The first two are genuinely scary at times

  • Different take on a zombie outbreak
A horrific blend of zombie, demons and nods to classic horror filmed from the perspective of a documentary camera videographer for the first two films. The third and forth films break from that with success. Great movies and awesome shock values. Loved them all! Perfect blend of horror, tragedy and tongue-in-cheek gore at times. ... show more

  • Best Zombie series
One of the best Zombie series to come along. Tge first 2 movies are the best. He third sort of goes off the rails when it fails to capitalize on what could have been an antagonistic battle between family members. The 4th movie is ok but isnt anywhere near the perfection of the first two movies. No matter you opinion, this box set is a great piece to add to your collection. ... show more
