our backyard pond is about 1500 gallons, housing for 18 small kois and some gold fishes. have been struggling with algaes for the whole summer, couldn’t see any fish till they’re coming up to the surface. Tried all prebuilt filter+uv light combination on here and nothing work. this light in conjunction with our homemade bogg filter work marvelous. water is clear and i can even see my 2 inch gold fish when it’s at the deepest area.

i dont know how it will work yet as we just got it, we plugged the unit in, no light at all...so this is the third unit we have tried, and sent them back as light wouldnt come on. they DO NOT TELL YOU, THE LIGHT WONT FUNCTION UNTIL THE UNIT IS IN THE WATER AND STARTS TO WORK. not even in instructions..so had to call, and there is a test button that is very hard to find on unit, that will turn the light on to make sure it is going to work. it is a round hole on the unit you poke a pen into to test it. instructions would have been so nice to know. we did get the unit hooked up, and can barely see through the outside lens that the blue light did come on, now to see how it works. our last one worked great. the pond guy was wonderful in answering all of our questions.

Product came with broken bulb. Got ahold of Camille in Help department she walked me through how to open it up and check the bulb. It unfortunately came broken. She got me setup to get another bulb came in yesterday replaced it and pond is already going clear. Green algae stands no chance with this product. Thank you to their customer support department for getting me all straightened out.

2 months ago bought 2 Jebao UV units from a different supplier and they both packed up in the same timeframe. Replaced them with PondGuy clarifier and cannot be more pleased as my wife can see her precious coy again. 5 stars for that.

I see no difference after replacing my old light with this UV light. The UV light is on but not doing anything little late now but would chose another my old light witch finally died worked much better.
