This cosmetic is packaged well and doesn't contain any ingredients that I find too questionable. It isn't really a lotion, but rather a serum that dries down and adds some firming for under makeup or other cosmetics. I used on my clean skin and this did feel like it provided some firming/tightening to the skin once dried. It remained semi-tacky on the skin though, and does require something like powder or foundation to cover or extra moisturizer. I removed a star, as I use a sponge to blend my makeup, and this base caused some appearance of peeling of the dried serum with the sponge. I think that it would have been ok with brushes. I have sensitive skin, and this did not irritate my skin at all. Overall, it's not something I'd use daily, but it does have a place for when you want a little extra firming/base for cosmetics. The bottle is a generous amount for the price, and this does perform somewhat better on fine lines than I expected it to. Would have been 5 stars if it was a little less tacky, and a little less peely.

Makes skin look and feel juicy, healthy and hydrated. I actually got compliments once I started using it. If you want to keep it simple and don’t want a 10-step routine, this is the serum for you. And now my husband uses it after shaving to soothe his skin!

This is a lovely moisturizing facial serum by Outset that is everything it says it, gently, fragrance free, and oh so moisturizing. Honestly, when I first put it on it felt almost like I could wear the serum alone or under makeup and skip my moisturizer, that's how great my skin felt. I have extremely dry, more mature skin, though so didn't want to chance it. But if your skin is less dry it could certainly be doable, especially as the weather gets warmer. I might be able to do it on the more humid days of summer where you don't really need the moisture but can still use the nutrients packed into the serum. Vitamins, check. Vegan collagens, check. And more that plump, brighten, and firm, plus a hyalouronic acid alternative to lock in moisture. With an emphasis on clean beauty, no harsh chemicals that I can find, and minimalist packaging. Apparently there is a three step daily protocol but I am so far I have just been able to sample the Prep Serum and it's my new go to serum. Very happy.

I am disappointed that there was no seal around the manufacturer’s box or the serum. I expected better from this brand. It is in a frosted glass pump bottle. Discard after 12 months of opening. Made in the USA. I might have overlooked it but I could not find the expiration date. The consistency is milky gel-like. It spreads and applies easily, absorbent, lightweight, moisturizing, non-pilling, non-irritating, and non-oily. It might be slightly sticky but hard to tell at the moment since it’s humid indoors and AC isn’t available in my home yet. While it is fragrance-free, it does have a natural smell. Reminds me of oats or seeds. The scent is non-offensive, neutral, and subtle. I test every new skincare on my neck and hand first before using it on my forehead. If everything goes well then I apply it to the rest of my face. My forehead is less sensitive that’s why. My face has been acting up a little before I started using this serum so I need to take it easy. I will have to update my review in the future after using this longer and consistently. So far the serum seems fine. Gentle. Nothing bad that’s standing out. Just not witnessing miracles yet.

This serum arrives in a chic, minimalist box. Pop out the container and recycle the box. Now, I wasn't sure what to expect, but wow! So, first, this has no discernable scent. That's nice for those who are sensitive to fragrance. And, then, after washing or exfoliating, apply this. This is a medium consistency and a creamy pearl color. This disperses over skin effortlessly. It nearly moves like a gel so there is no pull, tug, or having to "work it in." And, at first, it is going to seem a little shiny, but then your skin just drinks this up ... so fast! It moves from being shiny and sticky to just natural in about two minutes. And, then, the look is totally glowing but still entirely touchable. I actually did a double take! My skin looked so healthy! This is a genuinely excellent product with both immediate and long-term effects. So worth the investment!
