    • Great Support Bowl for Navajo Spindle
I don't have a cello or bass, but I do have a Navajo spindle. It's a type of spinning implement known as a support spindle because the end needs to be set on a surface, so that it spins without putting weight on the fibres being spun into yarn, preferably one which has a perimeter, so that the end of the spindle doesn't travel. This stays put, has a nice smooth surface which allows the spindle to spin easily, and does a great job of keeping the end of the spindle from wandering. It also works for small support spindles, although even the exceptionally well balanced ones may travel around a bit inside the endpin rest. ... show more
