I'm not a coffee snob, but I've tried several dark roasts. Maud's, Folgers, McDonald's to name a few and just recently, Tim Horton. I had high hopes for Tim Horton after reading the reviews, but I cast my vote for The Donut Shop. I keep coming back to it. The flavor is rich and not bitter. This is almost as good a roast as Pike Place, my fav, but a tad less strong, not overpowering. Still a great flavor, I stick to the dark roasts. I hesitated to try it due to my donut shop experiences, but am pleased I did, it gives me more options when supplies run out.

The downside of the K-Cup is that it just doesn't hold enough ground coffee for those of us who like a darker stronger coffee. While this is still weaker than what I brew pour over, it is much better than most of the options out there.
