This serum has helped reduce the shine and small breakouts on my face. It feels lightweight and absorbs quickly. The only thing to keep in mind is that it can feel a bit sticky if you apply too much. I like using it in the morning under moisturizer and sunscreen.

    • First consistent serum I’ve stuck with — and it’s working

This is the first time I’ve really committed to using a serum consistently for a specific skin goal, and I’m impressed. I started using it at night between my cleanser and moisturizer, and I haven’t noticed any redness, irritation, or other issues (I don’t have very sensitive skin, but still wanted to test slowly). Now I use it every night and every other morning, and it’s been playing nicely in my routine. Like a lot of people mention, I did get a few small pimples in the beginning — nothing major, and they went away quickly. That’s normal when starting niacinamide, and in my case it was worth it because I’ve already noticed my pores look smaller and I’m dealing with fewer blackheads. A couple quick tips from my experience: don’t use too much or it can be harder to rub in, and it does leave a slightly sticky feeling until you layer moisturizer over it. Pairing it with a good moisturizer keeps skin balanced and comfortable. Pros: • Shrinks the look of pores and reduces blackheads • Affordable and effective • Easy to add into a routine • No irritation for me even with daily use Cons: • Can cause a few small breakouts at first (normal purge) • Sticky feel until you add moisturizer • Needs to be eased in slowly if you have sensitive skin ... show more
