This is a great way for newbies to learn, I have gone from knowing very little to being able to jam with my friends. And learning is as fun as playing a video game. After playing it for a couple months I realized I would eventually like something of a little higher quality but this set has been an excellent first kit. I recommend buying an actual drum throne as this one doesn’t come with one, at first I tried to use an office chair and quickly realized I needed a proper seat. There are a few things I think could be improved; the snare drum kinda sucks, you can’t add more pieces to the kit, and too many christian-country songs in the curriculum on the app (I want to rock not play creepy cult music).

My youngest son asked for a full drum kit the day after Christmas. I told him, it would have been better to ask before Christmas but if he will play it; I will get one. So far so good. In the High School Band he plays baritone but he wants to form a jazz band for ensemble contest and switch to drums. I'm not one to keep my children from following their dreams. So it's a nice set for the money and as he gets better the investment in better equipment will come.

Its a Great Drum-set, teaches you how to play, easy to set up, colors help and look cool. If you are a master drummer you might want to get something more professional for the price. Its my first electric drum set and i love it. Its like playing Rock band if you want, im learning to play real music notes. Its the perfect begginer Drum-set. The app Works Great. 4 stars cause you can find maybe a drum-set for less. But if you want to learn to play drums this is the one.

I can't say enough good things about this drum set and the app it comes with is very powerful and motivating esp. Fur young ones trying to learn. I remember learning guitar and drums as a kid and it was so long to get some satisfaction... playing scales and basic rudiments over and over...... If this was around back then i would have been much more interested. The app has very popular and relevant songs of all genres and you can alter the skill level of the songs. Also the lights and guitar hero type learning style is very fun and potent for a young musician with motivation.... That being said the drums themselves feel better than other edrum kids I've had for the same price. There is no choke on the cymbals and the drums sound good but I'm using the cheap headphones they came with so might be better with some upgraded ones.... It also comes with the usb-c to usb-b cable to connect your phone to the drum module to utilize the app..... It's well worth the money, if your 40 and want to play drums and have fun like me, or have a youngster interested... This is the way to go.

This is a great set of drums. It did take a little time to assemble but totally worth it. My husband and i were a little worried about the noise but we were surprised by how little noise these make. They can hear the drums through the headphones while playing them but very little noise is heard by the stick hitting the drums. I love that it came with a year of lessons through an app. We homeschool all 4 of our children and want them to have access to different instruments. They all love this drum set and are noticabely improving thanks to the lessons through the app. The app is fun as well as educational, as they grow they unlock more songs they can practice to. The only thing I wish is that it came with a stool but it does come with a set of headphones. At first I thought this was expensive for a set of drums but I looked at other sets and seen this is the normal price range for this type of drum set. Everything is high quality. This is turning it to a passion for one of my teen boys and my 4 year old daughter. I'm very happy with this set of drums and the lessons it comes with. The app does have the fun songs that is set up like the old guitar hero game but it also has actual video lessons that teach them all about the drums and how to play. The videos are interactive and will have them try things the instructer just showed them how to do. This is perfect for someone who already plays drums or a beginner that needs the set up and the lessons.

I got this drum set to attempt to interest my 13-year-old in learning percussion. It turns out everyone in the family loves it. My 15-year-old was able to set this up by himself in about 45 minutes. The assembly is very easy and straightforward. It doesn’t take up a ton of room, but you do need a space for it. We have it angled in a corner and it takes up about a 3-4‘ x 3‘ square. This only plays through the headphones but I like that the app you use to learn with is wireless. I did find that I could only load the app on one device so not all of my kids can have it on each of their devices. This means they have to steal my iPad whenever they want to play but they do each have their own profile that tracks their progress through the lessons. This is actually super fun and even I’ve gotten into playing. I do *think* there’s a way to have this play through a device like a TV but I haven’t figured it out. This is completely user responsibility and probably error as I am technologically challenged. Overall, this has been a great addition to our family room, and I can usually find a kid drumming away in their spare time. My 15-year-old even used this to help my eight year old practice for percussion ensemble auditions for his elementary school. The sound through the headphones is quite immersive and it’s really fun to hear yourself play along with a popular song. It does give good feedback in that you have to hit the drum in the proper way to get the proper sound and it does adjust loudness based on the pressure of your hit.
