Every single metal piece for the frame was covered in metal shavings. Took like 30 minutes to pull off the plastic so as not to get them all over the floor (we have three kids and two cats). For the price of this kit I wouldn’t think it’d be too hard to blow off the metal pieces after cutting and before packaging them. EDIT: Customer service reached out to me and offered a solution to our problem. They also assured me that they would look into their process of production to avoid future orders like this. I felt very satisfied with their response. By the way the tufting gun has been GREAT. The kit was easy to assemble otherwise and we have already made a few rugs with it.

The media could not be loaded. This product is horrible and I hate that it's a package the one thing I like was the gun Itself. Since I brought this item as a gift and by the time the gift holder was able to use it, we realized that the clippers are not strong enough for the carpet. The plastic piece that holds the blade in place, appeared to have broken and it came loose so that the blade stopped moving within the first 5 minutes! The plastic around the blade melts from the clippers getting hot. It is not built with materials that can withstand the heat from the device. It is also loud and don't seem to be powerful. When we initially opened the package, it horrible instructions and you would have to be an engineer to figure it out(luckily I'm a carpenter) and because of this, we could not complete the carpet.

I have been rug making for about a year now and sadly I have had 3 tufting guns just completely stop working on me. I waited to write this review to make sure that same thing didn't happen again but this one has been my favorite so far, and I haven't had any annoying issues with it.

So far it's a 1 star. Without the frame there's not much than can be done. Putting together the frame has been a nightmare, the directions are worse than horrible - the blank areas with red arrows in them probably contain the info I need. The other parts if the directions that are visible (and I mean barely visible) don't even match the parts that came with it. I emailed customer support yesterday, hoping to hear back from them soon. Increase to four stars as customer service came through!!

I really don’t have much frame of reference as this is my first gun but from my perspective I think it’s good quality. It’s quiet which surprised me as I expected it to be louder. There is a learning curve but a very small one. My biggest issue so far has been keeping the yarn in it but I can almost guarantee that is most definitely due to user error. I will be purchasing one for my husband soon and then I’ll have something to compare it to. If my sentiments change, I will return to update this review.

This tufting gun is amazing. I am a beginner to tufting and I was able to catch on very quickly. I’m steady with this tufting gun and have already created 3 amazing rugs after practicing for about 45 minutes to master lines and curves. Once I got started it was hard for me to stop. I highly recommend! I ordered a different tufting gun before finding this one and it was horrible. I played with that one for about 3 hours and I was disappointed. I quickly decided to return it and make this purchase. Put it in the cart, trust me you won’t be disappointed!

I was looking at a bunch of different tufting guns and decided to go with this one for my first one to get me started with tufting. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and have nothing but good things to say about it, it allowed me to learn how to tuft very quickly and the speed adjuster works beautifully allowing you to quickly fill in colors or slow it down for more accurate detail. Great tufting fun for anyone out there I would highly recommend this to anyone.
